The Counselor watched Harn’s gaze towards the turbolift. “The hardest part is staying behind and sending others into the unknown.” Trevor said quietly. While the Counselor had once acted as a medical officer years back, Doolittle was more qualified in that field. Given his past conversations with the aCO, Trevor was almost certain that he was also going through a high emotional situation.

Jason was about to ask Michael to elaborate, but quickly realized that there were some conversations that were best held in private. It took him almost a minute to realize that the counselor was talking about him and not questioning if the acting CO was pushing Doolittle into more than the doctor could handle. His thoughts were interrupted by a call from Ric.

=^=Olinski, this is Ricochet. we were able to pick up a garbled, partial message from the surface. It seemed to be a direct response to Apex’s hail. Little Sehlat is going in closer to the storn in an effort to pick up a clearer message. If the Sierra did go down, it’s a pretty good chance we have survivors.=^=

Ricochet (CAG)

Jason walked over to the console that Ch’zaolrirh had vacated. Without warning he leaned over the ensign who took the Andorian’s place and pressed a button. =^=Acknowledged Richochet. We’re sending a shuttle down to investigate. Report to the CIC to work on a contingency plan in case the shuttle needs rescuing too. Unless you think you can do it from your cockpit,=^= he added wryly.

Ric probably wouldn’t appreciate being grounded, but he could correlate and analyze the information coming from his fighters from the CIC without the distraction of flying at the same time. With luck it would simply be a precaution.

OOC: Did anybody but me notice that Riker seemed to have no conception of personal space?

Jason Harn aCO

=^=Roger that, Harn. I’ll be home before the food’s on the table,=^= replied the CAG.

=^=Thanks Ric. Meet you in the CIC. Olinski out, =^= Jason replied.

Toro continued going through the information that she was looking at for the Sierra. Her mind going over the various things that could be waiting for them on the surface and why the Sierra had gone down here.

CIO

“I’ll let the standby medical team know to get ready.” The Counselor stated. Lieutenant Michaels knew they’d either bring back survivors or corpses. Either way, they’d have closure to what ever happened to the Sierra.

Jason Harn, aCO

OOC: Are you referring to Lt. Michaels? ;) -Ray

OOC: Holy cow! This is almost as embarrassing as the time I got the gender pronoun of another player’s character wrong!

“Oh yes, speaking of medics…” Jason mused as he pursed his lips and made a peculiar gesture that made if appear as if he was trying to snap his fingers but failing. “Counselor, I think we have just enough time for a quick powwow before I meet Ric in the CIC. Toro, you take the conn in the meantime. Counselor, let’s talk for a moment in the captain’s ready room. Won’t take a moment, then you can get back to work.”

He took a few steps towards the door to the ready room before turning to see if Trevor was following.

OOC: Time for a brief Kirk/Bones-Gibbs/Ducky scene.

Jason Harn, aCO

Toro stepped forward and took the center seat “Understood Commander.” She said as she watched the first officer leave the bridge to speak with the Counselor.

CIO

“What’s up?” Trevor asked as they disappeared into the Ready Room. The Counselor wasn’t too certain what was on Harn’s mind at the moment, but it could have had something to do with his mentioning of medics.
