=/\=Very well, =/\= said Whitney. =/\=We’ll get ready to move.=/\= Turning to the Olinski’s crew, he asked, “Would you be staying with us? Or would you like to return to your shuttle?”

GM

Before Kolar respond, yet another transmission came over his comm-badge. It was the COS.

=^= Mr. Kolar, some of the passengers are a little jittery. I’m recommending that we allow them to beam aboard the Olinski until repairs are done. There is a hanger bay cleared and ready for them if they’d like to stretch their legs. Also, I believe their are a few former Captains aboard. I’m sure they wouldn’t turn down a tour of the flagship. =^=

COS Ch’zaolrirh

=^=Do we need security protocols for these passengers? Being on a transport isn’t the same level of clearance as being on the Flagship of the Fleet..=^=

Kolar

The COS responded =^= They would be restricted to the designated hanger bay unless escorted. We can beam down a couple of officers to quickly verify each batch of passengers before transport. I’m estimating it will take about two hours to process them, assuming all of their records are in order. =^=

COS Ch’zaolrirh

Whitney look incredulously at the Olinski’s officers. “Gentlemen,” he said calmly, “Would you like me to get the Sierra into the air first, or arrange for the transfer of passengers? Even though I had not sent out an SOS, I recognise that when you are present as rescue: I am indebted to you and would have to take your recommendations. However, as far as I am concerned, the Sierra has received aid and we are now ready to return to starbase. If you question the decisions I have made, you must decide whether I am competent to captain this vessel, or whether I should be relieved of duty. If the latter, please indicate to me now. I have a responsibility to get my passengers to their destination and I would prefer to get going now that the engines are cleared and I would like to get out of here before another storm strikes.”

GM

“You misunderstand us, Captain. We are attempting to render aid and only aid as you require… As captain you have final say, unless as you say we wish to attempt to relieve you… which we do not, are not attempting.” Kolar looked at him speaking more formally.

“Captain, My Chief of Security reports that some of your passengers may wish to relocate to the Olinski. What is your orders on that issue?”

Kolar

“Well then,” said Whitney, “I’m going to get the Sierra up into space, where I believe it would have less probability of a storm brewing up. As we are doing that, your people might as well do the processing. I have no problem with them moving ship but I would like the protocols satisfied so that there would be no misunderstanding as to why they were being moved. I will hold the ship in orbit close to your main ship to facilitate the transfer. This ship is Starfleet but the passengers are not. Whilst there are reasonable regulations, I believe we shouldn’t treat them in the same category as enlisted personnel, don’t you think so, Commander?” he asked Kolar.

GM

“As you command.” Kolar looked at him.

=^=Assess the rationales for movement. Well come up with a protocol for who actually needs to be moved to be approved by Captain Whitney and Commander Harn. Please send the requests to me to coordinate.=^&=

Mirri listened to the conversation and was curious as to why Whitney was suddenly assuming that they were trying to remove him from command. Nothing thus far in the conversation had given that impression. She shook her head “Commander, depending on how many wish to transfer to the Olinski, we could bring the shuttle closer and transfer them that way.” She said as a suggestion and shrugged her shoulders.

Helm

Whitney turned and looked puzzled. “Is there any reason why they could not be transported from the Sierra to your ship?”

GM

=^=Commander we are attempting to re-attain orbit, there may be some medical transfers. Will advise.=^=

Kolar

=^=Understood Balfor, are quarantine procedures necessary?=^= Jason replied.

Jason Harn, aCO

OOC: Just to make this easier Doolittle can answer as if he was on the main channel of coms.
IC:

=^= Doolittle to Bridge. So far nothing we have scanned or the limited persons we have checked indicate a quarantine is needed. The medical situation seems, well oddly normal. =^=

Doolittle

Kolar shrugged as the doctor communicated. They still needed clearance from the transport Captain who was feeling a little overlooked.

Kolar

As always, the comms remained a flutter. Before the transport Captain could get another word in, the familiar voice of the COS added to the conversation. =^= Mr. Kolar our doctor and their doctor believe that a transfer is in order for two patients in sickbay. A woman and child. The Olinski is clearing them now. I am sending their names for clearance from the freighter captain. =^=

COS Ch’zaolrirh

Kolar looked at the Captain. Kidnappers don’t even keep mother’s and children as a prisoners… he doubted the Freighter Captain would as well. “Issues Captain?”

Kolar

“This is my last assignment in space. It is not as glamourous as being on patrol, but it is still an assignment. This trip, I must say though, is not the smoothest of trips,” Whitney said. “There is no issue with the transport of the two. I just want the rest of the trip to go on well.”

GM

“Captain,” Kolar began. “I believe in the motto, any landing is a good landing. Nobody died… its a good landing.”

=^=Captain when we clear the interference two individual’s are recommended and cleared for transport off^=

Kolar CSO

“I appreciate it, Commander,” said Whitney. =/\=Transporter room, please be ready to transport the two individuals to the Brian Olinski.”=/\=

=/\=Sickbay, please escort the two individuals to the Transporter room. Transport of the individuals have been cleared,.=/\=

GM

Kolar was known to be a very calming non-confrontational personality. He smiled softly at Whitney. Kolar’s father always thought he would have made a good Kai.

Kolar

Mirri looked at Kolar do you want me in the shuttle or do you want me to pilot this ship?” She asked ready do to whatever was needed.

Helm

The calm that Kolar had impressed upon Whitney was erased by half when Mirri asked the question. Whitney shot a questioning glance at the Bajoran Science Officer. The thought going through the CO’s mind was: Was he being relieved of duty?

GM

After his dust up with Captain Whitney, Michael was starting to learn. “I suppose the question is whether or not you want the assistance of our helm officer. Given the state of the ship, it only makes sense to make any pilots available known.”

-Lt Michael Gould, CE

Mirri sighed “I didn’t mean to insult you or your crew.” She said “But yes, we will need all hands on deck to get you back in the air.” She said looking at Kolar “I’ll just go back to the shuttle.” She said not wanting to cause any additional issues.

Helm

Kolar just tilted his head non-commitally his expression not changing. He spoke as if this was the original intent of Mirri’s question. “You are welcome to our pilot if you think it will help, Captain. I do, however, need to send someone back for our shuttle… so your opinion on this is pressing ” Kolar did have to send at least one of them back… the doctor wasn’t really a pilot and of the other two, he would rather keep Gould present on this ship. The engines were a higher risk factor than the take off. Not that there was zero danger on the flight.

Kolar

OOC: LOL … Just to clarify … Whitney was miffed because Mirri directed her question at Kolar and not at the CO of the ship.

IC: “I believe,” said Whitney a little haughtily, “that my helmsman is quite capable of getting the Sierra off this planet. I am sure that any of my crew would be able to handle a shuttle should you believe that your helmsman would be able to do a better job.” Then looking a little regretful, he continued, “I would not chase you off my ship. If you have so little confidence in my crew, I would permit your helmsman to standby should there be any problems. Of course, we could transport anyone to your shuttle so that it would not be abandoned on this planet. I would also like to extend my thanks personally to your Commanding Officer once we are off the planet.”

GM

Mirri looked at Kolar and Whitney “I will go back to the shuttle.” She said deciding the question “Kolar do you want the doctor to come back with me or keep him here?” She asked as she prepared to head back to the shuttle.

Helm

“Thank you lieutenant. I’ll keep the doctor here, with Captain Whitney’s permission.” He paused for a moment for Whitney to express his opinion.

“Get back to the shuttle and fly support. I’d like to have an outside view on the silica in the engines.” Kolar smiled at the helms officers. “I’m sure you will do well.”

=^=Olinski to Kolar. Do you want us to act as a relay to Star Fleet Command for the Sierra to let them know that they are okay?=^= She asked

CIO

Kolar again looked the Whitney… “It’s your report, although one way or another we will have to notify them that you’ve been located.”
