OOC: We’ve got some new players aboard the Olinski, and this twilight zone between episodes is a good time to practice posting and roleplaying. I suggested on another thread that the officers participate in team building exercises to get acquainted with each other. https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf5/olinski/posts/100144/ and Sidney is asking for suggestions for a shipwide side sim. https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf5/olinski/posts/101345/ but we’d like your input. What with the distractions of work, school, fires, and hurricanes what will keep you posting here at the USS Brian A. Olinski? What scenarios will allow you to reveal things about your characters and let all of us get to know them?Suggestions so far: Paintball in the holodeck, Picnic on the holodeck. Having a holodeck adventure where our characters dress up in funny costumes (cowboys, pirates, mid-20th century private detectives), teambuilding exercises like trust falls and campfire stories. Let us know what will stimulate the creative muse and get you posting. Any suggestions?
Treasure hunt? Look for items that when combined will answer a riddle? something like that.

Solved mystery. Treasure Hunt it is.
Sidney had allowed the SB Activities team come up with the activity. He had opted for the SB holodeck. A massive and even more powerful system than what was on the Olinski. The invite was open as always. He was there first and waited for the rest to show up. Even he was not aware of the activity planned.

Toro arrived and nodded to Parker “So what are we doing today?” She asked with a slight smile

Mirri arrived a short time later, carrying a cup of tea and sporting a bandage on her hand…she had forgotten how sharp the rocks were on her climb and had managed to cut the palm of her hand.
Helm
A holo-program guest representative showed up out of thin air to greet them.
“I do hope more arrive.” He said. “We have a delightful program for you today called “Treasure Hunt”. I do believe you will find it mysterious and fun.”
Sid looked at the avatar and smiled.
“I am sure we will.” He answered.
“Well this program is quite interesting with a twist.” It continued. “You see each item in the treasure hunt will have a riddle that leads you to the next item. We bigin when everyone arrives with the first “riddle” to get you on your way.”
Sid had to admit that did sound fun.
