Red and Green squad fighters were in position to cover the Santiago and the Olinski.One of the Breen fighters fired wide, missing the large Tholian ship. The weapon missed the Starfleet fighter closest to the fray by a mere 400 metres. The fighting took a turn away from the Starfleet vessels. The Tholian ship moved towards to Algolian home world and away from the Starfleet vessels. They were still about 150 million kilometres from the planet. The Algolians were members of the Federation.

Ael drifted in his fighter, awaiting clearance. He checked his controls one last time. He couldn’t help but narrate to himself. Slow breaths. Everything checks out. Not looking forward to engaging with the Breen.

The Breen and the Tholians were not really interested in the fighters. After moving away from the sensor ghost of the Olinski, the Tholian ship suddenly powered up its warp engines.
