Vega and her team beamed into Santiago’s Transporter room, it was immediately clear that they were in a bad state as a thin layer of smoke filled the air and the warning claxon had started to malfunction. “You have your assignments and priorities, I’ll be touching base with whoever is in charge and meet back up with you shortly, call me if there are any issues and stay safe, were not out the woods yet” She watched as the team dispersed and she began to make her way to Engineering with tool kit in one hand a torch strapped to her arm as she navigated the hazy corridors.

The corridors were filled with bodies some wounded some rushing around trying to contain fires or help the injured to sickbay, uniformed covered in soot or blood and sometimes both. It didn’t take much longer than expected to reach Engineering and when she did she saw just what she’d expect, yellow shirt engineers buzzing around repairing, routing and replacing damaged parts of the room as medical staff waving tricorders and dermal regenerators hoovered nearby like mosquitoes insisting that they go to sickbay.

Vega looked to see if she could spot the chief.

“You must be from the Brian Olinski,” said a voice in the smoke to her left. “I am Lt. Luce, chief engineer.”

GM

“That rights, we received preliminary damage reports and what we made out of our own scanners so my team has been detailed off to help yours but if you have any specific or urgent jobs please don’t hesitate to point us in the right direction.” Dal looked around taking in her surroundings again, it was some achievement the ship was still even here.

From what Lt Dal could see from the stations that were still online, the Santiago’s CE was either very proficient or extremely lucky. They ship managed to move power away from the potential hull breach. This would have minimised the damage, should a hull breach occur. Also, he had barely enough power for shields and life support and he made it work to the benefit of the ship.

GM

“Shall we?” She offered with her tool kit in the direction of the warp core and engineering stations.
