Kolar, of course, arrived in the conference room first. He was the one who asked for the meeting without warning. He had placed out three PaDDs with the data and map of the sector. Not that there were any guarantees that the Breen and Tholians would accommodate them and not change course or speed. The one up side of the running battle was that the Olinski could move slowly and let the two combatants beat each other helpless and pick up the scraps.

Kolar.

Toro walked in next “Commander…” She said sitting down and spreading out the PADDs she had brought with her. “What has changed in our situation?” She asked “So I can work on new plans if they are needed.”

Alexandra followed not far behind.

“Not much,” He pulled the data up and it appeared on a three D map over the table. “The combatants knocked out two Cardassian Cruisers that protested their indiscriminate use of their space.” He gestured at the two dots that were the Cardassian ships, “The Captain wants us to come up with intervention actions if he gives us a go to engage.”

“I think we have two possible tacks, one a low casualty approach… we plan a hard strike to negate both combatants using maximum force, low cost to us, high cost to them. Or two, attempt to control the two parties, it puts us at higher risk but might have a lower casualty for all involved, maybe.”

Kolar

“I think the case may be” Alexandra said “that the most efficient way to drive them out will be the highest casualty way. Their willingness to drive through the cardassians, it suggests to me that any smaller show of force may not be enough of a deterrent.”

“The Cardassian fleet is a token defense force. The Tholians could walk to Cardassia Prime and they wouldn’t even be a speed bump. The Breen on the other had took much more damage from the war. They likely are more desperate, but weaker.”

Kolar

=^= Captain to Kolar. Come back to the Bridge. We have an update=^=

Parker CO

=^=Aye sir,=^=Kolar tapped and responded automatically.

He looked up at the two officers in the conference room. “Finished the battle plan as if our objectives have not changed.” They likely would need the intervention no matter what.

Kolar

“Understood.” Alexandra sat back for a moment. “Even if the cardassians aren’t particularly strong, violating borders is not done lightly. Whatever they’re doing, it’s important. We might be best to treat them like they won’t be easy to stop.”

-Lt Alexandra Drake
