The Captain awaited in his Ready Room the new CMO to arrive to the meeting. He was, to say the least, excited to get a new CMO. The position had been in turmoil due to no qualified applicants from SF. He was wondering what he would get as he had very little info on the new officer other than his name and rank.

Parker CO

The Brown haired, green eyed, tall man with a brown goatee walked to the door of the Ready Room. The door chimed to let the CO know that he was there. He was excited to get to know the people on the ship. He always had a love for medicine, helping his father take his shots and medication for his illnesses.

The door slid open and the Captain motioned for the guest to enter as he rounded his desk to greet him with an outstretched hand.

“Lt. Burcham. Good to see you have arrived.” The Captain said. “Please have a seat.”

The Captain then went back around his desk and had a seat.

OOC: Also please respond to the new JO who is arriving for her physical pre-sim.

OOC: I did.

IC:
“Yes, Sir. Thank you.” He replied as he sat down in the chair the Captain indicated. “It is a pleasure to begin serving on the Olinski.” He stated.
Lt. Burcham, CMO

OOC: Just FYI I got handed one of those names that used to be male but changed to be favored for females. In reality I’m male in OOC and IC.
IC:

“We are happy to have you Lt. In fact we have had bad luck keeping this position filled. We are extremely fortunate you were available for the posting. So tell me about yourself and SF history.” The Captain said.

Parker CO

OOC: I fixed it sorry, I think I’m so used to having female captains, it was instinct. lol.

IC:
“Well, I grew up in Columbus, Ohio. My brother and I both joined Starfleet. I excelled at the medical field classes, while my brother excelled in security. I’ve been a member of three other ships before getting this post, all of them being a medical officer. I’ve learned a lot about different species from each of the CMO’s I have served under. This is my first post as CMO, so I’m really excited for this promotion and new adventure.” Lt. Burcham responded to the Captain.
Lt. Burcham, CMO

“Well as you know there is a shortage and waiting list for qualified CMO’s these days so I am happy we were able to finally get one assigned and one with experience. On my ship the CMO is involved very closely with command. Are you used to working closely with the CO and Xo of the ships you were on?” The Captain asked.

Parker CO

“I am not sir, outside of off duty events and activities or an occasional away mission the CMO would let me go on in his place, I mostly stayed in the sickbay for my job, and never really got to meet with any of the command staff of the ships I served. This is the longest conversation I’ve ever had with a person higher than the CMO of a ship, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it in no time, I feel like it will equate to be like giving patient vital reports to the CMO.” Lt. Burcham answered.
Lt. Burcham, CMO

“Well its quite the jump your making to the CMO position but you appear ready. Certainly your previous CMO approved or else he would not have recommended you for the promotion. You do know our mission profiles tend to be High Risk and combat oriented. Not all the time but that is our profile. Are you ready for that?” The Captain asked.
