Gibbs had thought that he’d like to discuss the matter of the death of the crew members to Mr. Grey. It was imperative that Gibbs would be able to discuss it with him. Only thing is, would Mr. Grey come in and willing to discuss and open up with Gibbs. If that is possible that would make his job a whole lot easier.

=^= Gibbs to Grey. If you have time to come and discuss about the death of the crew members we lost that would be great. We can schedule a certain day of your choice or we can do it now and get it over with. If you need to come and see me at any time my door is always open =^= he said.

Lt. Gibbs CNS.

There was a slight delay before the channel opened on the other side =^=What, no, uhm yes sure” A clang in the background as something fell over and a swear in an unfamiliar language “I’ll be there in seven mintes=^= The channel closed abruptly without a farewell.

Exactly seven minutes later the door to the counselors office chimed.

CSO

“Come.” As he heard the chime and said to him.

Lt. Gibbs.

James entered through the door and looked around in a curious manner, the room of a psychologist was often indicative of what kind of therapist they were. He was a very tall man, a broad figure, not quite pudgy but not fit either, he looked to be in his middle years. His hair was gathered in a messy bun, raven black but there was grey starting to form at his temples. His eyes were keen and he seemed to absorb all that he looked at as if devouring all he saw. “Afternoon Lieutenant.” He said finally looking at Gibbs “James Grey”

CSO

“Welcome in Lieutenant. Anything to drink anything to eat?” He offered Mr. Grey. He gestured his hand for him to take a seat.

Lt. Gibbs. CNS

James walked forward and sat down slowly “No thank you, lunch isn’t for another hour and I don’t like to spoil my appetite” He said with a warm smile and crossed his legs, tapping his thigh absently with his hand.

CSO

“I understand. Anyways Lt. the reason why I called you in here, cause I’d like to know what you have felt about losing your friends and closest crew members we’ve lost.” He said. “Did you lose someone special? Did you lose some friends in the battle?” He asked.

CNS

James gave a single surprised blink, a raised eyebrow and a bemused smile “You’re not one for tact I see” His tone was equally bemused “I’ve been a Starfleet officer for nearly twenty-five years now, I’ve been through conflicts, battles, war, political machinations and all sorts of thing in those years. Losing people in battle is always sad, more so if they are younger as they so often are. To answer your question, no, I did not lose a friend or someone special to me. But each loss of life is a tragedy, on either side of the battlefield.”

CSO

“Okay. Well my second question is. Were there a lot of young women and men that died during the battle?” He asked. As he sat there just being someone who wants to know these things due to the fact he’s the CNS. It is his duty to know these things.

CNS.

James frowned at the question “To me they are all young, you can get an accurate count from the casualty report.” He said tersly.

CSO

He frowned as well looking with his hand on his shoulder. “Listen. I know how hard to lose members of the crew it is hard. But with me just learning about this and everything I understand that they we special to you.” He said.

CNS.

James gave the young man a bewildered look “Special to me?” He asked “What are you talking about, I already explained my lack of connection to the fallen beyond being sad that they fell” His tone was equally confused.
