The captain was not happy about this assignment. However he had looked over a lot of files and kept coming back to this one. She was rough. Not the polished but dangerous intel type. Just the dangerous type. However she has a very strong right and wrong compas if he was reading the file well enough with all the redactions. A quality that was usually missing in intel. Now her view of how to let out punishment for those doing wrong was decidedly not the normal one. Psychopathic was a possible definition.

However she got things done and had the intel others could not get. Exactly what he needed for this Xindi mission. He was not sure if he would keep her on but he needed her now. Toro had left and being honest never developed into the CIO he needed. It was time to go outside the box.

He had summoned her to his Ready Room and now awaited her arrival. If she had read his jacket and done any research into him she would know he was usually by the book but willing to throw it out if necessary. He did not tolerate insubordination nor laziness. Doing great work was expected and loyalty demanded and earned.

Rebecca had received the summons and rolled her eyes. She had thought about ignoring but decided not to. She changed back into the monkey suit star fleet called a uniform and left her quarters. Rebecca did hate the uniform but the thought of all those prissy officers who didn’t want her in it, seeing her in it brightened he day. She loved showing the holier then though officers what the real world was like and Rebecca was a shining example of that, from her muscular build, to her bad mouth to the burns that adorned her body. The real world was tough and harsh.

She didn’t know if the captain knew what the real world was like, reading someone file only goes so far but she figured she’d find out soon enough. A few minutes later she was at the captains ready room, she rang the chime and waited.

“ Enter.” He called out.

He had seen her file and photo. He was still surprised a little by the scars. Not the usual for SF officers. Not a bad or good thing. He imagined she wore them with pride. Her psych profile indicated as much.

“Lt. come in and have a seat.” He ordered.

The Captain was not one of these guys impressed with a tough guy attitude. He was impressed with good work and loyalty to the ship, him and the crew.

Rebecca walked into the office and quickly surveyed the room. looking for anything that would give an insight into the man she was about to talk to. She crossed the room and gave one of the two padds she was carrying to the Captain “I think you need this Captain” she sad simply as she took a seat. The padd was her transfer orders “First time I’ve dealt with actual written down orders” she added.

“So what can I do for you Captain?” she asked her tone, the normal and for Rebecca the naturally cold one.
