Kolar paused for a moment. Both of them? Well, the ship wasn’t really in any danger… as Kolar stood he turned to the most senior officer on the bridge. “Lt. you have the conn,” he said before following the Captain into the turbo.

Kolar XO

Just as the CO and XO were about to enter the lift, an old familiar voice sounded over the bridge comm. =^=CAG here, Sir. Red Squadron had taken up position. I’ll deployed Blue Squadron to sweep the area for stragglers and surprises.=^=

She hasn’t made it to the XO to report in, yet, but Xandra’s voice was clear in her acknowledgement of her position. She’d store by the hanger to say hi to a few folks and see what was going on. Hearing the last couple comm exchanges, the Lieutenant Commander on duty was just as happy to let her respond to the bridge after a brief discussion.

The XO’s personal comm would chirp next. =^=Primage here, Sir. Should I meet you somewhere or remain in CIC? Lieutenant Commander Dixon has filled me in to current events.=^= There was the hint of a smile in her voice.

Lt. Cmdr Alexandra Primage
“Little Sehlat”
CAG

As they entered the turbolift the Captain heard the CAG’s voice. He smiled knowing the Wing was in good hands. The turbo life left with him and the XO in it.

“Kolar I want to end this and find out what is happening right now. No more chasing the Xindoi in disquise.: He said out loud and not as much as an instruction but more so as a comment.

Parker CO

“We could head to the Xindi homeworld with one of the ships in a tractor beam. Bring the evidence with us along with any prisioners we’d like. Less diplomatic and cautious than I would like, but, it would get results.”

Kolar offered.

With the Captain and the XO now at the Brig questioning the prisoners a smart and watchful Science Officer would notice a sudden reactivation of the two ships power systems. Even a quick eyed Pilot may see as the impulse engines of both ships gained slight power.

((Making thread to deal with this… “Main Sim - Eyes everywhere CAG and hangar”))

((Cross post from CAG))

Xandra tapped another button and reached out to the bridge. =^= CAG to bridge… We’re showing power on the ships. Looks like impulse engines being fired up. What are our orders?=^= She wasn’t aware the CO and XO weren’t on the bridge.

Xandra
CAG

OOC: Well its Dallas to the Rescue then.
IC:

Dallas had, disobeying orders, returned to the Bridge. He knew he had been right and he wanted his opportunity to state his case and do his duty. He also knew that this would most likely end his career and not even his well positioned father could influence the impact of such a bone headed move. As he walked on he saw no XO and no CO but he did hear the com message. He looked around but no one moved. The Engineering Lt Jg who had taken the com did nothing and literally looked scared.

“Red Alert. Shields up” He called out.

The Weapons officer hesitated but Dallas had said it with such authority he followed the order.

“Aye Sir. Red Alert.” He mimicked.

Dallas moved to the COs chair and the Engineering officer relinquished it without an argument happily moving to the Engine console.

=^=CAG this is the Bridge. Open fire on those ship.=^=

He realized he had forgotten to breathe and exhaled.

Dallas Ops

=^=Yes, Sir.=^= Was the only reply before the order was carried out. A heartbeat later, the two squadrons could be seen on the viewer moving to intercept the ships and fire upon them to cripple their propulsion systems. None of the shots were killing or destruction shots. She hadn’t been given orders to destroy them, so the order was to cripple. With luck, the shots would cripple the ships and keep them from moving, impulse or otherwise.

Xandra
CAG

“I think this once was called Possum by an old card playing friend of mine.” Dallas called out as he gingerly sat in the COs chair.

He then observed the fighter wing engage the targets as their power increased and they pivoted toward the Olinski. As the ships moved the fighters hit them with, if his memory served his right, pulse cannons mounted to the front of the Templar fighters. They seemed to rotate one to the next and pounded the impulse engine sections of the ships. Another fighter let loose with several micro torpedos. This barrage was launched on both targets and it resembled a very deadly ballet.

However one the ships turned and was able to fire a torpedo and anyone knew a Romulan torpedo was slow but deadly. If the person on the sensors observed closely they would recognize this torpedo was an older generation design.

“Torpedo.” Called out the Ensign at Tac.

Dallas almost froze. Could the Olinski take a single torpedo. What the hell was he doing in this chair?

Dallas Ops

As for the fighters they would find one ship had lost its impulse engines and had no shields but torpedo tubes were opening aft. The other ship that had turned and fired had front and starboard shields at 20% but no aft or port shields. Its impulse engines were damaged but it was able to move toward the Olinski.

GM

OOC: I want to give the CAG a chance to react and the XO to arrive before I post the next action.
IC:

“Sir.” The helm looked back at Dallas for orders.

Dallas just sat there.

“Hard starboard.” He called out.

However looking at the torpedo trajectory this would not out run it. It would just change the impact from forward shields to Port.

“Both Helm and Navigations looked at each other.

“Aye Sir.” Helm answered.

OOC: Good place for the XO to step in. Hint

GM/Dallas

Kolar entered the bridge taking back the conn. “Sitrep,” he barked out assuming the command chair.

Kolar XO

Dallas snapped out of his stupor and rose to get out of Kolar’s way.

“The two Romulan ships powered back up. We were able to hit them with the fighters in close proximity but the one turned and fired. They are both damaged. The fighters were still in the close proximity so we have not engaged directly.” He updated.

“Should I order the fighters to disperse?” He added suddenly.

“Sir Impact in 5 seconds. Port side at this heading.” Called at the Tac station. He added the last hoping maybe the XO realized that Dallas had made a call that still would cause a direct hit on the Olinski.

If the CAG was on top of her job the fighters would probably be dispersing as he suggested it

Dallas Ops

“Evasive maneuver Omega Lima Kilo ,” Kolar ordered tightening his grip on the arm rest but trying to appear calm. He had already made the mental calculations the Tac officer called out and was hoping the maneuvers would lessen the impact.

=^=Captain to Bridge. Their torpedos are double yield. If they launch put some space between the Olinski and it=^-=

Parker CO

=/=Already in progress Sir,=/= Kolar replied.

Kolar XO

With the Olinski moving quickly away trying to out run the torpedo the fighters were literally left alone with the two Romulan style ships.

OOC: REMINDER>>>>>>As for the fighters they would find one ship had lost its impulse engines and had no shields but torpedo tubes were opening aft. The other ship that had turned and fired had front and starboard shields at 20% but no aft or port shields. Its impulse engines were damaged but it was able to move toward the Olinski.
