A female nurse quickly came to the bed.

“Easy dear. You have taken a fall and more. I have too many patients right now so mind yourself by laying back in this bed and relaxing.” She said in a motherly tone and then off she went to the next patient.

Xandra did as she was told. Her head, and stomach, fighting against her mind to get up and find out what had occurred. When she opened her eyes a few moments later, she looked around for the CAG. “Ric?” She remembered a look, in his eyes… pain. Someone had hurt him. Her heart began to pick up its pace as she wondered if he was all right.

Mirri stood back and just watched. She was far more comfortable in the pilot’s chair or on the Bridge, this was a waiting game that she didn’t like. But she didn’t dare leave in case she had brought a contaminant aboard from the Sierra.

Ric moved off the bed and over to Xandra. He reached for a grabbed her hand. “Xandra, I’m right here. I’m okay.” His voice was a bit rough as he spoke.

He brushed her hair back to look at the bump on hr head from the fall. “Thank God you’re back to yourself!! How do you feel??”

Ricochet (CAG)

Xandra could feel as if a huge weight was on her. Her call to Ric actually took quite a bit of effort. She felt that she was in control but yet not in control. To move her hand took all the will she had …

“I..” she was having trouble breathing. One hand rose, with almost lead like slowness. “Trouble.. breathing…” Panic started to fill her eyes. Her other hand reached for him but wouldn’t lift to his arm. She could just barely grip his hand as she felt him touch her. “… Ric… something… heavy…” She clenched her hand on her chest as if trying to find what was pressing down. In her mind, she was thrashing around to get away. But on the bed, her legs barely twitched and her arms moved slow as if in a dream.

Mirri remained in the background and watched. She was concerned about her crewmates. She really wanted to be on the Bridge, where she might be of some sort of use.

Nurse Kitty injected her with a neuron suppressor and antihistamine. One to reduce the brain connections that were causing her the anxiety and the other to increase oxygen flow.

Nurse Kitty
(What would it do to her? Just calm her down or knock her out?)

OOC: More calm her brain activity down so she would not be internally terrified. It seems to retard the mind control but not completely eliminate it.

Sidney

She could still feel the pressure but the panic slowly waned. Tears slid down her temples as her hand slowly released the material of her top and her grip on Ric wasn’t so deathlike. “Ric, what’s happening…” she slowly rolled her head to look at the others around her. “Someone tried to kill us. I felt it. I was strangling them when I passed out. I know they must be hurt.” It didn’t occur to her that Ric was the one she had been choking before she had been knocked out. All she knew is breathing was difficult and she was scared.

“Shhh, it’s okay,” he reassured her. “You didn’t hurt anybody. You fought it off before anybody got hurt.” He lied, but only to help ease her mind and get her to relax.

In the back of her mind, the replay of the last planet they had visited played over again. The feeling of being driven but unable to control it. And the feeling of blank spots in memory that left one questioning their own sanity. The shiver that went thru her had nothing to do with temperature and everything to do with the fear or hurting someone or losing her flight status. Both were equally frightening to her.

(Scared but no longer panicked)

As long as she was not panicking, she found it easier to breathe. Unlike in the fighter during the last mission and in Mrs. Pitch’s quarters, she was able to move, as if moving in molasses. She somehow knew that there was a difference. Unlike the last few times, her body was not moving on its own. Although motionless, she still had control.

GM

Slowly the similarities and differences of last time began to seep into her head and she took a shallow breath. She moved her limbs and closed and opened her eyes. As she realized she was in control now, she eased up her grip on Ric’s arm and the hand on her chest feel relaxed and still to her side. She was still groggy, but guessed it was the meds, not someone controlling her. She looked up at Ric and the bruise on his throat. “You should get that looked at.” She smiled knowing he hated doctors as much as she did. It was a teasing line between them when they sparred, or one or the other crashed in the sims. It felt good to smile at him though confusion still filled her head on far more levels than she liked.

He placed a hand over her heart in an effort to support Xandra’s calming. “It was Mrs. Pitch and her kid. Somehow, they’re controlling people. The kid touched you and you became affected. I didn’t let him touch me and that’s when the old lady flipped out. She gassed us both. At least we were right that she was involved in this whole fubared situation. Security has her cornered down in the shuttle bay. She was tring to escape on a shuttle, forcing people to do her bidding. I still don’t know what it’s all about, but I’m sure it’s almost over.”
