As the CSO started his scans, he noticed that the two guests were no longer in their room. The two pilots were in the room instead. Mrs. Pitch was carrying the child and a small satchel moving through the corridors towards the shuttle bay …

OOC: Yipes!

“Oh, oh.” Kolar switched targets. He knew the results before they came up on the screen.

=^=Toro to Bridge, who exactly am I looking for?=^=

CIO

Jason’s eyes widened as he looked over Kolar’s shoulder. =^=Bridge here. Toro, meet me in the shuttlebay and bring your phaser! I’ll be there as soon as I can!=^= He glanced down at his science officer. “Kolar, take the conn. I’m going to get eyes on the situation myself. Contact Doolittle and let him know that he’s got two patients in the guest quarters and that they’re two of our own!” And with those words, the big man jogged over to the turbolift and left the bridge.

Jason Harn, aCO, running off half cocked like a starship captain from the 1960s

“I have the fighter bays locked out too..” Kolar offered as he had set command controls on all the shuttle, hanger and transporter systems. “What ever it is, it wants to get of the ship badly.”

CSO

The internal sensors showed that one runabout had already be activated before he too control of the commands. Somehow Mrs. Pitch had gained control of the runabout and was able to override or avoid the CSO’s commands in time. The aCO and CIO were already at the bay. The runabout suddenly activated its shields …

GM

“Raise shields, arm the phasers and the tractor beams.” Kolar commented. He was more annoyed someone had out programmed him, but a runabout didn’t have half a chance against the Olinski… he wouldn’t even have to bother with launching the fighters. Not that he wouldn’t prep them anyways.

=^=Kolar tot he CAG. Prep Red Squadron for launch… only launch when given permission.=^= Kolar didn’t believe in half measures....

Kolar CSO

A nervous voice came over the line. =^=Sir, Lt JG NE Sparks here. The CAGs location is unknown, Sir. And I only have two pilots available. They are prepping now and ready in five, Sir. Everyone else…=^= the sound of nervous gulps came from the poor man, =^=Sir, everyone else is down.=^=

(And ummmm scared to talk to the Captain ‘himself’!)

=^=Well, that means you’re in charge for now Lieutenant, remember your training - follow your procedures. We are in a ready 5 position, we are not launching. We have crew members who are under some sort of mental, physical controls. Do not allow an unauthorized launch. Stunning of non-complying officers and crew is authorized. Do you understand Lieutenant?=^=

Lieutenant Commander Balfor CSO

The voice on the other end could be heard trying to gather himself up as he spoke. =^=Umm… Sir… Yes, Sir. I’ll do that Sir. I won’t let you down.=^= But as the CSO mentioned he was to put down anyone who acted contrary to orders, the man questioned the orders. =^=Sir, are you saying I am to use a phaser on Officers and others who don’t follow orders?=^= He paused a moment to process the order and complied.

=^=Don’t get too trigger happy, I know how much a junior officer looks forward to phasering his superiors.” Kolar chuckled, =^=Although I could use a nap.=^= Kolar hoped he said in a supporting manner.

=^=Yes, Sir. I will… I will do that.=^= The comm went dead as the man scurried to follow orders and make sure things were done.

=^=Sickbay to Bridge this is Doolittle. The mother and child we brought on board may be the catalyst for all of this. We need to detain them and bring them to the Sickbay or even Security holding.=^=

Doolittle

=^=There is some supporting evidence for this. There are already cases in Sickbay, I’d rather not put the possible catalyst so close to the other reagents. Take them to security and put them behind a maximum strength force field… politely Mr. Doolittle… very politely.=^=

Kolar

=^=I am in route to the Security Brig. Have them brought there and we will use the EMH to examine them again. It cannot be controlled.=^=

Doolittle had finally hit on something with using the EMH, or so he hoped.

Doolittle

After the message from Doolittle, the CSO noticed that the sensors had picked up an increase of 25% in the energy that they had detected before.

GM

=^=Commander we have an energy surge, undefined but I think its related to the…=^= He couldn’t figure out the proper designation for this issue. =^=Mind control?=^=

Kolar attempted to figure out an inverse wave to the power surge. Maybe that would block or minimize the problem.

Kolar CSO

Jason’s response was almost immediate. =^=Mister Kolar, can you please place a force field around Mrs. Pitch down here in the shuttlebay?=^= Jason replied in an overly conservational tone. =^=Let’s see if she as anything to do with your energy surge.=^=

Jason Harn, aCO

=^=By your command.=^= Kolar responded and pressed the relevant buttons.

Kolar succeeded in erecting a force field around Mrs. Pitch and her son. Sensors showed Kolar the frustrated Mrs. Pitch screaming and then a rod falling from the satchel. The rod was the source of the strange energy.

GM

From the bridge Kolar could both see and hear what was being said in the hangar bay.
“Yes!” the image of Jason Harn exclaimed to Toro as he snapped his fingers. “Transport the energy signature to the brig! Get it secured and as far away from her as possible!”

Jason Harn, aCO

=^=We will have to lower the force field to activate the transporter beam,=^= Kolar suggested through the ship’s interior communications system.

Kolar

=^=Do it,=^= Jason replied without hesitation as he lunged forward in case Mrs. Pitch dropped her baby in an attempt to recover the rod. This was a risk since the acting commanding officer’s huge frame could easily block Toro from getting a clear shot.

Jason Harn, aCO, making an attempt to keep all of the threads in sync

=^=Roger=^= There was a tone, that sounded a lot like… ‘if you say so.’ without actually saying more than a single word. He pressed the appropriate keys that would remotely activate the transporter. He glanced at the other crew members on the bridge. It was common that there was more information at the site at the incident than the bridge but it was doubly so when the commanding officer was at the site.

He tapped his fingers on the console. Technically he should have been in the command chair having a another officer command the operations/science station, but like many science officers before him he knew he was best utilized at his primary station despite command protocol.

Kolar.

A lock was finally made and when it was transported out, the rod was in the EMH’s hand.

GM

=^=Transport completed Commander.=^= Kolar reported despite the fact they probably saw that happen.

Kolar CSO
