Meanwhile the NE at the science station turned and said, “Sir, we managed to analyse the rod in the brig.”

GM

“This isn’t a game show, you can tell me the answer.”

The ship’s intercom system, allowed Kolar to hear Jason’s voice using a tone he hadn’t heard him use before. Barely contained contempt was normally alien to the friendly open persona that Jason Harn worked hard at projecting, but now there was none of that. =^=Harn, to Balfor. Mister Balfor, unless you hear from me, transport Mrs. Pitch’s infant to sickbay so we can run some tests and find out whose baby it really is. This charade has gone on long enough. Transport the child in two minutes. Understood?=^=

Jason Harn, aCO

Kolar could hear the words of the woman who was clinging on to the child.

“I’m telling you the truth! Why doesn’t anyone believe me? My son has special abilities. Oh how can I explain?! I did not hijack the transport! That captain! That captain did something wrong! I could sense it in your people when they came on board. Yes, I am running away. I needed to get my son and I away from prying eyes. That captain would have delayed our departure from the starbase. He would have ruined everything! Now you have ruined my life and my son’s life! They said that he was interesting. I thought that they had accepted me and my son. But I found out that they wanted to run tests on him, just as you are. He is not an animal to be experimented on. He has a right to live a quiet life. He should not be subjected to probes and machines! Why can’t you people leave him well alone?! Why can’t you people leave us alone?!”

As she spoke more hysterically, the cries of the baby became even more intense and loud. The fifty seconds had just passed by …

GM

=^=Aye.=^= Came the one word reply. There wasn’t much to go from his tone, but that in of itself could have meant something.

That was some pretty fine transporting. Generally transporter liked picking up everything ‘living’ in an area, kept the accidents to a minimum. He locked the transporter on.

It wasn’t long before Harn sent another order to the bridge. =^=Mister Balfor, delay transport and contact the Sierra. I want to know what they have to say about Mrs. Pitch and her son. Find out if the Sierra’s captain ever gave Mrs. Pitch reason to believe they were going to take him away from her. =^=

Jason Harn aCO

“Ops, get the Sierra on the comms… Impress upon them the importance of their immediate response to the Captain’s query.”

Mirri stepped on the Bridge and took over helm controls from the junior officer that had been manning the station in her abscence.

Helm

As it turned out, Mirri’s appearance on the bridge was fortuitous, for after four minutes Jason Harn stepped out the turbolift and ordered Kolar from the bridge. “Mister Kolar, find out what that rod is and where it comes from. The emergency medical hologram can assist if you don’t think it is safe to touch. Mirri, take the conn. I’m going to the ready room and contact the skipper and let him know what’s happening on his ship.”

“Aye sir,” Kolar left as quickly as the acting Captain entered.

He paused in order to tap his combadge and say =^=Harn to Michaels, one of our guests, a Mrs. Pitch, has been overriding our people’s will while trying to escape in a runabout. Work with security and set up an interview where you can find out if she is a fugitive from justice or simply a distraught mother who went too far.=^=

Jason Harn aCO, giving Kolar a chance to step offstage since Luke declared a LOA.
