As the false ship rocketed to warp, Seamus felt at ease, despite the Captain being a sentient hologram and there only being one member of the crew who had joined in. He watched space pass by on the viewscreen and almost lost track of the fact that it was a simulation.

A few minutes later, they emerged from warp. They sat in empty space. Then a ship decloaked. “Captain. Romulan Warbird directly ahead.”

“They’re hailing us.”

-Lt Seamus O’Briain, CTO

“Full stop. Shields up and hail the warbird,” Cori ordered as she rose to her feet. She eyed the warbird with curiosity much the way a parent might eye a child playing with a toy.

“Full Stop Captain” Than acknowledged, bringing the ship to a halt with the two facing each other. Moving his hand over the console, a moment later a number of holographic crew appeared at the other stations to round out the Bridge staff for the exercise.

“Hailing the warbird now.” the comms officer said. A Romulan Commander appeared on the viewscreen. “I am Commander Kaehll of the Imperial Warbird Hatham. To whom am I speaking? And offering generous terms of surrender.” The warbird had shields and weapons powered up. Seamus whispered to Corinne “They’re ready for a fight.

-Lt Seamus O’Briain/Mini-GM

A subtle nod from Corinne indicated that she understood that. She took a step forward and offered the Romulan a pleasant smile. =/\=Commander… Kaehll, was it? I’m Lieutenant Dalton of the USS Saracen. Last I checked you’re not on your side of the neutral zone, so I do believe you’re the one with some explaining to do. But I’m sure there’s a very good reason of course. =/\=

At the Helm station, Than hummed softly to himself. It was some old tune he had seen while watching old sci-fi movies, and it helped him focus while he ran computations >on angle of attack plots on the warbird to place them into the other ships weak spot should an engagement ensue.
