As they continued to walk, DaVinci halted and raised an eyebrow with a suspicious grin. “Your people aren’t planning on invading Earth, are they? You are asking a lot of questions about our universe.”

Colter (CIO)

“Pfft,” she waved off his comment looking at the people passing them in the hall. “If we wanted to take you over we would have already. We just got the conquering out of our system during our teen rebellious years about 500 years ago. Now the whole pillage and plunder thing seems so beneath us.” Her tone was flippant and she never made eye contact with Colter as she spoke. Only when she directed her gaze back at him did Kavia start to laugh.

“Okay you know I was kidding right. All civilizations have a bloodthirsty past no one is proud of. If it will make you feel better you can ask me anything. I am literally a walking computer for the most part with my eidetic memory. Just like you if I can answer I will and with pure honesty. The only thing I ask is for you to not lie to me. If you don’t want to share just throw that out Sure it will make me suspicious and wonder why you can’t tell me but it is better than me catching you in a lie as I leave your quarters tomorrow morning. That is unless you prefer to come back to mine after you amaze and dazzle me with this holographic display of lights and sounds.”

Kavia

Wow, DaVinci was actually a bit surprised at her forwardness, but pleasantly surprised none the less. “That’s not all I plan on amazing and dazzling you with.”

Continuing with the flirtatious conversation, he added, “You may not be able to walk tomorrow morning, let alone leave any quarters. . . “

“Promises promises,” Kavia gave him a sly smile and leaned against the wall as she responded. “I am just wondering if you are referring to physical exertion from this holodeck or something else.” She held his gaze leaving the innuendo floating in the air. There was no denying she was intrigued by this Colter. He had scoffed at the babysitter comment earlier even though that was exactly what he was doing. The part that intrigued Kavia though was he seemed sincere about wanting to spend time with her and not just schmoozing her.

They had reached the holodeck and DaVinci turned toward the closed doors. “Computer, run Jamaica Program Delta Zero-Zero-nine. Clothing appropriate for one adult human male, and one adult . . . human female.” For all intents and purposed, Kavia seemed pretty much to be no different than a human female, at least physically.

The doors opened and the pair entered. As they stepped in, Davinci said, “This is one of Earth’s most popular tropical vacation spots.”

The scene shifted to a sandy beach with crystal clear blue waves gently caressing the shore The palm trees swayed to and fro matching the warm tropical breeze.

“This place is…is breathtaking,” Kavia closed her eyes and inhaled a deep breath of air. She svaored the feeling of the warm air and the scent of salt as it washed over her. Her mind was running a million miles a second as she opened her eyes to focus on Colter.

When Kavia turned to look at the CIO, she would see his uniform had changed into a pair of red Bermuda shorts the hung just above his knees. His well-developed, chiseled torso and arms were bare. When she looked at her own outfit, Kavia would be wearing a red flower print sarong around her waist, with a matching halter bikini top.

Kavia wore a look of shock on her face when she noticed that her clothes changed on her body. It was as if the clothes she wore into the room were holographic yet Kavia knew for certain her outfit was not. Still she could say she did not like the new clothes they wore. “Well how do I look,” Kavia spread her hands out and turned once.

DaVinci looked at her and smiled, but noticed something was missing. He looked around at the immediate foliage and found a red flower. picking it from it’s stem, he placed it behind her ear. Taking a step back, he added, “Perfect.”

Colter (CIO)

“So what do we do here besides the obvious of sitting and watching the waves? Is it small banter time?”

Kavia

“That is one option, while having a drink or two at a Tiki hut bar. We can go sailing, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving. . . .there are a plethora of activities. We can get as risky as you want here in the holodeck. There will be safety protocols in place, but the adrenaline rush is realistic. We can even sun bathe in the nude if your felliing risque instead of risky.”

DaVinci looked out over the Caribbean waters and smiled. The smile slowly began to fade as his mind drifted back to the last time he was in the Caribbean. It was a mission during the Eugenics War. He and his squad where trying to root out one of Khan’s Augments that had set up shop in the island paradise.

He shook his head to clear the thoughts away. Why was he thinking of that now. It was over a long time ago, and now he was here with an incredibly, sexy woman whose conversations were filled with as much innuendo as his own. The here and now should be his focus. . .
