“Then may I ask that I be present. I am no Vulcan and mind melds aren’t my thing. But I am well versed in death and the ways it can be dealt. I don’t desire to be in another room if something goes awry.” She was adamant in her statement, though she knew it could be overridden at any time. Again, the idea of not protecting one of their own was something she wasn’t about to consider.

Graham frowned at the ideas being bantered about. They were all passive, he wanted to be more aggressive and get some immediate answers. If meditation would give Boja the answers she would have had them by now. At least that is what he surmised.

“I have no objection to you being present,” Satreya said with a slight sigh. Since her personal life was pretty much open for discussion and dissection as needed there was little could really object to at the moment, especially with this Kavia on board. She had to admit that her curiosity far exceeded any apprehension about what the other woman might have to say to her.

Lt. Boja, CMO

“For now” Date said turning from the window he had been looking out of while they talked and he thought, “lets let Colter see if he can get anything useful out of her. She seems to have taken a liking to him and who knows, she might let something slip while she’s getting used to our universe and how we are. Be confident that Colter will get as much out of her as he can in a more relaxed environment.”

He came back to his chair, placing his hands on the backrest and looking at those in the room. “I’m not convinced the story she told sounds quite right, not in this universe anyhow” he said, looking at Boja more so than the others. “This man who you supposedly witnessed kill people, is now a powerful and influential man. If knowledge of what happened got back to your… back to Suu’sianna Prime, it could cause a civil war or the like if I understood her right. So, that being the case, the powers that be actually want you to go back to that universe. I’m sorry but that sounds to me like they are planning to create strife and unrest in the name of protecting their positions against this man, and have you as the scapegoat when things go south.” He tapped his fingers against the chair for a moment before continuing, “Satreya I want you to carry one of these devices you and Teller created at all times, and I want a constant lock on your comm-badge. Teller” he said, looking at the CSO now, “I want to know how she came through our shields, or simply appeared like she stepped out of subspace, and I want it countered, or a way to counter it.”

“Triton” he said to the CoS, “have SARAH track Kavia at all times, and place security in sickbay and patrolling Doctor Boja’s deck but, and this is important, we are not to have security follow Kavia around. She has made no threat to this vessel and she is our guest, despite the way she appeared on my ship. Go ahead and increase security to sensitive area’s on the ship, but I want the circle of contacts Kavia has to remain small, especially if she has unknown abilities as a Telepath, and during the attempt Satreya and Kavia may make to unlock her mind. They may have placed the block there, so lets see if they can remove it.”

“You are a member of Starfleet and my crew, however. I’m not willing to leave you alone with this woman in any situation.” He told Boja finally. “Any other suggestions, I’m all ears people.”

Captain Knight, CO

She was overwhelmed and she knew no one would would blame her, but this was still the most astonishing thing that had ever happened to her in her life and given all she had experienced, that was saying something. Satreya looked Dante straight in the eyes and seemed resolved. “I have no intention of leaving the ship,” she said adamantly. “Kavia can take the info she needs, but this is my home.” Her expression softened. “I do want to learn more about that place and what appears to be my home. She knows about my parents and I know nothing. I want, no need to know. But… that being said, my abilities are strong. Should anything strange happen, I have no idea what might happen, and what sort of risk I might pose to people. I’ve…”-she swallowed uncomfortably-“had to defend myself before and my only recourse was to use my abilities. I threw a man against a wall and cracked his skull” She shrugged. “Please use a stun setting. Phaser burns can be healed more easily and I do actually like living.” She knew that they might be tempted to up the ante on their defensive measures, but they had to weigh the risks.

Lt. Boja, CMO

Sha nodded to the CO as he gave the orders. “Yes, Sir… I’m on it.”

Sha moved to one of the comm panels on the other end of the table so as not to disturb anyone. She quickly deployed the security teams and made sure various security members were ‘patrolling’ in the places that needed watching. The fact they were keeping an eye on the visitor made her feel much better. And she also agreed with the others. No one was giving up a member of the crew if they didn’t want to go.

“Satreya” Dante said seemingly with confidence, “You’re not going to pose a threat to anyone on this ship, at least not anyone who is a crew member” and with that he adjusted his cuffs and looked at her directly. “We are also going to have no need to use any setting on our Phasers. You are a Starfleet Officer and one of my senior staff, and you know that better than most. I trust your judgement but you are no danger to us. So, unless we have anything else to discuss people” he looked at each of them in turn, “you have your orders and we have a job to do. Dismissed.”

Captain Knight, CO

Satreya got up from her chair and glanced at Teller. “Well, time to go arm myself, such as it is.” She didn’t quite understand that she was a risk simply by virtue of her abilities. If something went terribly wrong and she lost control, they might not have a choice but to subdue her and a phaser on stun might be the only way. Who really knew at this point what would be required.

Boja gave Dante one last uncertain look before leaving the conference room.

Moving down the corridor, Satreya sighed, stopped and looked at Graham. “What do you think about al this?”

Boja, CMO

“I don’t like it. Its too convenient,” He shook his head as if stying to convince himself of something. “They didn’t come here for no reason. If they anted to just talk the could have done that a million different times and off the top of my head I can think of a dozen easier methods.”

“I just have a feeling, if it doesn’t feel right it isn’t right. But until we know I’ll just have to remain paranoid and nearby.” He looked back to the conference room. “Nor do I care what Dante says… If you need to be phasered to keep you on the ship rest assured I’ll do it. We’ll credit it towards our next fight where you certainly will be wrong and I wish I could phaser you without getting court marshaled” .
