By the time Flynn arrived at the the Security office his anger had ebbed away and been replaced by eager anticipation, even the reminder of Elaine couldn’t destroy the excitement he felt at the prospect of having a Klingon Chief of Security. Finally, finally he might finally have a superior officer who wasn’t a pencil pusher or pansy. His superior on the U.S.S Trident had been a bald young man who was content for nothing more than to sit behind a desk and played it safe. He was almost confident that a Klingon officer would be nothing like that.He pushed the chime to the CoS’s Office and took a step back. Reflexifly, his hands smothed out his hair and uniform until he looked more like a model than a Starfleet Officer. He wasn’t a proud man, but he’d learnt in his teenage years that his charm was more effect when he maintained his looks. Now making sure he looked emmaculate came as second nature to him.
