Despite the seriousness of the subject, Satreya laughed. Looking around them to ensure no one was there, she leaned in and gave a quick kiss. “I guess I’ll have to give you that one, under the circumstances,” she said with mock seriousness.

Teller only partially participated in the peck. He was running though options and he wasn’t about to get side tracked by a little affection and knowing his very wandering mind he knew he need to stay focused.

“I’m not sure how long to give Colter before I go see Kavia, but I’d like to run a quick baseline scan before she and I get touchy feely.” There was a certain anxiousness she felt over the idea of letting someone in her mind, but as she had said during the debrief after she felt instinctively that she could trust the being who magically popped into the conference room.

“Mykoli’Tanna… mykoli’Tanna. Has a nice ring to it.” She stopped at looked at Teller. “This was so not how I saw today going, but we knew someone was close by, relatively. And we knew they were from the same Universe I came from. Is it crazy to want to be excited about all this, even just a little?” All this time, all these years! Finally she was going to get some answers.

“I wish you luck and hope for the best. I’ll do all the negative thinking for you.”

Satreya smirked. “I’m glad to know you’re looking out for me,” she said softly. They just had to wait for Colter so they could find out from him if there was anything crucial to know before she attempted letting Kavia access her mind.

She glanced at Teller. “You know Kavia will likely be able to read my mind as I can others. She’d probably be able to figure out there’s a defence. Not much we can do about that, but something to keep in mind.” Boja had the hypospray from the meeting in her pocket and it felt like it weighed ten times as much just knowing it was there.
