In the same playful tone Kavia spoke, DaVinci replied. “My interrogation methods will break you. They can be quite. . . . intense.”

He leaned in close once again and whispered in her ear, letting his hot breathe caress her neck and ear. “You will be begging, don’t. . . . .stop. . . . . .please . . . don’t. . . stop. . .please. . don’t. stop. .please don’t stop. . . .”

Colter (CIO)

Kavia closed her eyes and let his breath run down her neck. She relaxed into the moment for a long second. She loved the things Colter was promising her. Maybe too much. As she opened her eyes, Kavia reacted. Reaching up she grabbed his wrist with her right hand and twisted it out. This was not to take him down yet but to give her some leverage. Reaching down with her left hand as if she was doing a right-handed cartwheel forcing her legs straight into the air in front of his face. Kavia was not a fat woman but she did have enough mass that when she pulled down on his wrist for leverage, Colter leaned slightly forward. Using this position, she did not complete the expected cartwheel but bent her legs and wrapped them around Colter’s head and neck. One hundred and twenty-five pounds around anyone’s neck would force them off balance. Colter was no exception. Kavia curled her back knowing she was going to impact the soft sand. Colter, with all his years of training, also curled his head and body so that he rolled instead of pile driving his head into the sand. This action, because her legs were still wrapped around his head, caused Kavia to roll with him which is exactly what she wanted. Kavia had no misconceptions that Colter at any times could have countered her moves or bested her after the initial shock wore off of what she was doing. Still, it was a lot more fun to get into the position they both desired this way than the traditional one where they embraced and sank to their knees. At least she hoped Colter agreed. As she came forward, Colter maneuvered her over his head and onto his chest facing him. By this time Kavia realized while she was holding onto his right wrist, Colter now held her left one just as firmly. Shaking the hair out of her eyes she looked down at him under her straddle.

After the initial shock of what Kavia had done wore off, instinct indeed, took over. His immediate response was to retaliate. She had played him and he had fallen for it all. But as the moment passed, he sensed no hostility in her actions ot movements, only fun, and . . . .desire.

“So now that I got us into a more acceptable position what was I supposed to say to you? Don’t. . . . .stop. . . . . .please . . . don’t. . . stop. . .please. . don’t. stop. .please don’t stop,” she imitated his words back to him. That was the beauty of her perfect memory. The only difference between her words and his was that the first series of don’t stop please was peppered with soft fast kisses and the last please don’t stop she spoke hovering inches above his lips.

Kavia.

He relaxed once again as each kiss touched his lips. Releasing her wrist, DaVinci slowly reached up with his free hand and brushed her hair back behind her ear, then gently trace along her jawbone until her chin softly rested on his fingertips. With a lift of his head, he kissed her again, lowered his head back to the sand and said, “Yes, those are the exact words. The only difference is whether you’ll be whispering them, or screaming them.

Kavia opened her mouth to reply but Colter was too fast. So much about this man was exciting. The thrill of the underlying cat and mouth game that was occurring between them sent hot rushes throught her body. She didn’t fight as Colter turned the tables so to speak. She let him take control for now. She wanted to see if he could live up to his promises.

Without another word, DaVinci hungrily attacked her neck, ears, throat, and shoulders with kisses, opening all his senses up to Kavia, the taste of her skin, the unique scent that was hers alone, the touch of her hair as it brushed his face . . .

“Computer, run program alpha-foxtrot-zulu-one-niner.”

When Kavia next opened her eyes, the scene had shifted from the tropical beach to a log cabin, resting near the peak of a mountaintop. A thick, heavy snow fell outside the windows, but inside the log cabin, the fire blazing in the fireplace kept things warm and allowed for the only light in the room. They went from lying in the sand to a large, brass bed covered with bear skin blankets.

Kavia sat up and looked around slightly startled. She held the blanket over her chest as she took in the site. “Okay this,” she said with a sly grin. “This is amazing. I gotta get me one of these,” she bit her lip and looked him in the eye with a pleading grin. Kavia had no idea if you could purchase one of these devices or if you could steal one. She was not one for theft but she would not be coming back here and this thing was almost worth going to jail over. With a small laugh she pulled the blanket up higher and then over her head sliding back down to the bed.

And though the temperature outside was quite chilly, the thermometer in the room continued to rise along with their passion. . . . . .

Colter (CIO)

After about an hour Kavia flopped back onto the bed breathing heavily. “Okay I don’t know about you Federation boys but after a vigorous bout of activity like that we need to eat. Can we get some snacks?” Kavia knew the fun of this tour would be ending soon. Maybe it was time to get a bit serious. “So tell me about this Boja. What’s she like? Do you think she will want to stay or go back home? I could see why she might want to stay here.”

DaVinci climbed out the bed and walked to the replicator in the kitchen area. “That’s a tough call. Satreya is a valuable member of this crew. She takes her position here very seriously. Besides the people that raised her at the orphanage, this is really the only family she’s known. A lot of people on this crew would hate to see her leave. On the other hand, I would completely understand if she wanted to go back with you. To learn of where she came from and who she really is, no one here would blame her if she wanted to leave for that reason alone.”

When he returned, DaVinci carried a large bowl filled with a variety of Earth fruits He placed the bowl beside Kavia and slid back under the covers. He rolled onto his side to look at Kavia directly, reaching out and letting a finger trace an invisible line down the length of her arm. “Still, she has strong moral convictions and if something was done intentionally to hurt someone or upset the social order, she’d be the first one to want to set things right . . . . “

Turning to face Colter she gave him a sincere look. “You know I dont care if she stays or not. That is not my business. It’s Boja’s. My mission was to come home with the information I was sent to retrieve. As I said before there are several ways to do this. I have an eidetic memory. What she tells me will be taken as her word when I report it. She can lie or tell the truth. It won’t reflect on me. I am simply a courier. She can come home and deliver the information herself. We can also take a recording of it if she wants to stay but say it in her own words. I want you to know I am not going to try to coerce her to do anything. I ....I’m only telling you this again,” Kavia took a deep breath and let it out slowly, “because I like being around you. I mean it has only been about four hours but that was all Benicio and I needed when we decided to make a go of it and that lasted several years.” Kavia got a smile on her face thinking about her second husband.

“Even though it has only been four hours, I trust you when you say that. All my training is screaming at me to stop thinking like a teenage boy and watch my back, but there is something about you, even before this,” he leaned over a kissed her shoulder, “I felt I could trust you.”

“I know. It is a little late now but I do not tend to give the unabridged tour to everyone I meet on assignment. There was just something about you,” she said taking his hand in hers and locking their fingers together. Compared to most other species I have lived three lifetimes and each one was full of love, adventure, and the unexpected. I have had three husbands and widowed three times. Still, life is a gift and I just can’t help not being open to exploring it. I’m glad you are my tour guide here,” she said raising his hand to her lips and kissing the back of his hand.

“Oh and for the record,” she let out a giggle, “this whole thing was not some weird mating ritual where you and I are now married or anything. It was just for fun. So tell me it’s the same here. That I did not accidentally marry you as I did with Carlos on that archeological adventure he dragged me to.”

Kavia

“Oh? Did I leave that part out? Under Earth Law, Article 76, Paragraph 123, after the third time during the same encounter, you and I are now married. You’ve agreed to bear at least 10 of my children and raise them by yourself while I continue to gallivant across the universe seducing other damsels.” The CIO continued to carry a completely serious mask on his face while he explained this to her.

Kavia pondered his words as she plucked a small purple ball off a bunch of the fruits and popped it in her mouth. “I’m glad you picked an even number because it is a pain in the arse when you have an odd number in a group at an amusement park. Someone is left out and then they start to whine. It’s not a pretty sight. The only thing unlucky for you is that I can teleport anywhere so if I had to hunt you donw for a diaper change I have the skills to do so.”

“Of course, we can have the marriage annulled, but only if we both agree to one more thing . . . “

Colter (CIO)

Kavia pressed a finger to his lips making him stop talking. “Under Suu’sianna Prime Law if someone doesn’t know the law they can’t be held responsible for breach of contract which is essentially what it sounds like your annulled would be. So don’t tell me the ways to make this stop.” Moving the bowl of fruit out of the way, Kavia straddled Cotler’s hip and sat up looking down at him. “Just show me the ways to keep it going,” she said in a soft voice. “I like you. I love this. I want to be surprised at what our future holds minus the ten damsels of course.” Reaching over to bowl, Kavia pulled a long yellow rectangle type fruit from the bowl. “I will say though that being with you is a serious drain on one’s metabolism. Aren’t you hun,” Kavia said as her face screwed up after taking a bite of the fruit, “gahwee.” It was the first thing she had eaten that was not amazing. “It’s......different,” she said trying to be polite as she worked the bite of banana in her mouth skin and all. “Da outside is so…chewey…but the inside,” Kaia said forcing her mouth to chew the bite, “is so....safh…ft,” she swallowed hard and rolled her tongue over her teeth trying to move the foul taste out of her mouth the best she could. “You want a bite” she held out the bitten banana praying he would take it. The inside was tasty but the inside mixed with the leathery rind was making her cringe.

Kavia.

DaVinci fought hard but failed to hold back his laughter. “That, my dear, is a banana.” He took the proffered fruit from her and began peeling off what was left of the skin.

“Remember the ice cream you had in the lounge? The fruit that was split with the ice cream between the two pieces. That’s what this is.” He threw the peel aside, broke off a piece and popped it into his mouth. Breaking off another small piece, he fed it to Kavia. “It’s much tastier this way. Plus its a good source of potassium, which helps us humans regulate the fluid balance in our bodies.”

“Infinitely so,” Kavia said savoring the bite.

He glanced over at the fruit bowl and smiled. “Good thing there’s a healthy supply of bananas there. We’ve both lost a lot of fluids so far.”

Colter (CIO)

“So what else can you show me,” Kavia said flopping back next to Colter on the bed. “Besides the inside of a cell and for the record” she popped another piece of banana minus the peel into her mouth, “I would rather sleep on your couch if it can’t be your bed than inside a brig cell.” Her tone had some humor to it. She wanted it to be light yet also impart that Kavia understood there would probably change from where they currently were once the evening ended.

“How do you work this holographic machine,” she said gesturing around the room with her hand. “Do you just shoot out something like ‘Computer put us into the middle of an ocean?”

=/\=In the middle of the ocean =/\= the tinny computerized voice announced with a twang as instantly the warm soft furs disappeared under Kavia and Colter plunging them into water that was not freezing but cold enough.

“What the hell kinda program is this,” Kavia said instantly treading water. “You just say it and it happens?”

“What if you say vicious ocean creatures does it produce them too,” Kavia looked a bit alarmed as she began to tread water facing Colter.

=/\=Producing great white sharks, box jellyfish, sea snakes, barracudas,=/\= the computer voice droned on enacting each thing Kavia called out as if it were real commands and not rhetorical questions.
