Being excited to be on a ship again, but on a Pendragon Class Battlecruiser was more than he could imagine! After looking up a floor map of the ship he realized just how large it was. He had a good couple of extra minutes before he had to check in so he wandered the hallways just greeting people and exploring to get more familiar with the layout. After planning his route as he went along he probably managed to see a good portion of the ship before arriving at the Chief of Security’s Office. He made sure to polish up his single Ensign pip with his sleeve and made sure his shirt was tucked in properly before depressing the chime. He was already eager to meet the Chief of Security and wondered what he’d be able to learn from them. Excitement rushed through his veins as he awaited a reply from inside.

So many new folks usually made most Department Heads shudder. But Sha was relieved. Security had been short this last mission and she had lost one during a transfer just afterwards. So having two new arrivals made her more relieved than worried. As the chime sounded, she set the bat’leth back on the wall and sighed. Sinclair had made her question pulling out her House weapon and replacing the practice one on her wall. But she had yet to get to that point, yet. The weapon he spoke of was still safely tucked into a cargo container in the barely used lowest storage space on the ship and would stay there till she was ready for it to go elsewhere.

“COME!” She called to the door and turned to face whoever entered. With the erratic arrival of shuttles and such, she knew the new comers to her team, but the sequence was as much a mystery to her as anything else.

The half Klingon stood in her security uniform with her hands clasped behind her back when the Ensign entered. She wasn’t at her desk, the first thing one noticed in the room, but by the windows to the right. It was a small office with little on the walls save for a framed print of some kind of painting with dark crimsons, blues, and deep purples and black swathed back and forth with no discernible pattern or reason other than to cover the canvas in as many dark colors in horizontal lines as possible. There was a practice bat’leth on the wall nearest her and a couple urns on the edge of the desk. Other than that, the room was fairly devoid of anything personal at all.

Thankfully she had studied the files of the two she was receiving and knew this one on sight as she would the other one. “Ensign Gareth. Come on in. Welcome aboard.” She waited for his reaction to not just the sparse room, but also a half Klingon female as his new superior officer. She kept her face stoic because she was told she was more intimidating looking when she smiled.

OOC: Sorry for the super delay on this, as I mentioned on some of my other posts work has been complete chaos lately which has sucked up the majority of my time x_x

IC: As the door gave way with it’s typical sharp hiss, he stepped inward and quickly took a look at his surroundings. With the simple interior it was easy to get a bearing for everything amongst the typical Starfleet grey. It was on his next step that he noticed the Lieutenant and the easily recognizable bat’leth on the wall next to her. He hadn’t hadn’t had too much exposure or dealing with Klingons before though he had heard about them and learned a bit about their nature in the Academy. He’d mostly dealt with Bajorans and Cardassians from where he was from and most of the time his interactions with Cardassians were not pleasant ones while he was in the Militia.

With his limited understanding on the nature of Klingons he did not want to have a shoddy introduction, so he figured he should stick to the books on this one. To be concise, confident, and not show any fear. He ensured to make eye contact, giving a small nod and quickly made his way to the front of her desk , rolling his shoulders back to make sure he stood up straight, before standing at attention keeping his head directly ahead. “Good Afternoon Lieutenant! Ensign Gareth reporting to the USS Saracen, Security department as ordered.” He patiently and somewhat anxiously kept still waiting for what was to come, not knowing what to expect.
