Satreya laughed and sighed a bit. “Alright, well, there’s not much more we can do today. I do recommend you book some time in a holosuite if you can, several times a week, even for half an hour. Find a good massage therapy program and soak in a hot tub. It might be the holodeck but it all still counts. Keeping stress low and your circulatory system working optimally will help, as will the reduced pressure on your nervous system. That’s my prescription on top of the anti-inflammatories. If anyone has a problem with the amount you book the holodeck, send them my way,” she said matter-of-factly.

At first, Elmira rose an eyebrow unmistakably in a ‘You’re kiddng?’ look. Although, it wasn’t difficult to see the doctor was absolutely serious in her perscription. Relaxation had never been a strong suit of Elmira’s, a trait not uncommon amongst Starfleet officers. Albeit, if the doctor thought it would do her body some good, she couldn’t really be as imbecilic as to ignore her. “I’m sure you’ll be hearing from some displeased Ensigns in no time at all,” O’Shea mused.

Satreya shrugged, taking in the very tangible hesitation Elmira was exuding. “I can manage the complaints. Just remember that you can’t be the best officer and do your best possible job if you’re not at your best. Don’t think of this as some sort of weird experiment. Think of it like you would any other part of your training regimen. You do the massages and hot soaks and treat it as important as the weight lifting and cardio work necessary to meet Starfleet physical standards. Because if we don’t change things, you won’t be able to meet them anymore Elmira. I’m not saying that to be harsh, but as a reality check. If you want to stay in Starfleet, we need to tackle this immediately. And you need to do your part.”
