“What kinds of navigational threats might this Nebula pose to the Saracen?” Gavain spoke up. “And can we pinpoint what frequencies of EM radiation are being emitted specifically by the new signals, perhaps by comparing the spectrum before and after they showed up?”

Gavain, COO

Doing his part, Colter called up information on any hostile forces in the area, as well as any recent acts of agression or violence that may be associated with the area.

Colter (CIO)

The records showed that there was a high probability of Cardassian and Klingon presence in the nebula as both claimed the territory.

GM Nosferatu

Sha had been listening and offered up an opinion about them versus the science vessels. “My guess is, with the high Klingon and Cardassian presence, a science vessel may not have the defensive, or offensive, capabilities. And my guess is, with the compliment on this ship, we are best equipped for contact ‘and’ information gathering of the six ships within a week of the given location.” She looked up from the PADD in her hand and glanced around the room with a wonder if she had, perhaps, spoken up out of turn. Her own curiosity had gotten the best of her when folks started asking ‘why us?’.

“I’m just glad they did,” He turned to the captain, “We can scan with the best of them sir, there is nothing a science ship can do that we can’t.”

Graham

“Captain, with both the Cardassians and Klingons claiming the territory of the nebula, one of them may be attempting to tip the scale in their favor. Have we gotten any information from either or those factions. Though, I wouldn’t necessarily trust anything the the Cardassians report, anyway.”

Colter (CIO)

OOC: I asked the GM a question a little while back, not sure if you saw?: “What kinds of navigational threats might this Nebula pose to the Saracen, and can we pinpoint what frequencies of EM radiation are being emitted specifically by the new signals, perhaps by comparing the spectrum before and after they showed up”

Miriam

OOC: Sorry I did answer this but it must have gotten lost in the all posts. I will repost it here.

IC: The nebula as a T Cluster which meant that it was full of dark matter, stellar nurseries, and extreme gavimetric distortions. There were also Class 4 Pulsars. Given all these factors there was a large amount of electromagnetic radiation, radio waves, visible light, xrays, and gamma radiation. As to your abilities to pinpoint the EM radiation, certainly you should be able too. The various radiations are coming from all of the above phenomenon. If you wish too have more in depth information of each of the stellar phenomenon mentioned above you can either ask or give a read on Wiki. That is where I have gotten the majority of my info on them.

GM Nosferatu

OOC: thanks!

OOC: Alrighty folks, sorry for the sketchy presence. I’m going to move the post to the Bridge, after reading through the posts above, if anyone still wants an answer to anything specific just highlight it in here for me, I think pretty much everything I saw was answered in one way or another.

IC: “We cannot discount the likelihood one or other of those factions have a hand in these signals, but until we find out fort sure, the nebula itself is our biggest concern. Everybody is dismissed and unless you have anything specific to put forward, departure is at 1600 Hours, that should give you enough time to finalize your departments before we leave.” Dante nodded his statement that the briefing was over, then returned to the cup of coffee sitting on the desk.

Captain Knight, CO

“Yes, sir,” Sha nodded and rose with the others to head back to security. There were two sets of teams that needed to be manned. One group would blanket the ship on the off chance anyone decided that unscheduled transports onto the Saracen were a good idea. Key locations would be manned on a continuous basis rather than random rover check ups.

The other was an away team to protect the Captain or anyone else if they needed a group to the ship. “Something tells me this nebula isn’t going to be a picnic…” she murmured as she wandered out with a few others.
