With everything running smoothly, Sha was at a bit of a loss. Flynn was fitting in, schedules were rotating, and shift supervisor reports were short at best, boring at worst.

The half Klingon was having trouble sleeping and decided a trip to Sinclair would do the trick. They had never gotten around to their second date to see his favorite sport or even attempt to learn it in the holodeck. It wasn’t she didn’t want to see him, it was she want sure why he wanted to see her.

Shaking her head, Sha straightened her tunic top and tapped the chime in the counselor’s office. It dawned on her she should have made an appointment… Too late now. She had already rung the bell so to speak. Unfortunately, now she was second guessing coming as well as how much to tell him about her troubles.

The door opened silently and Sinclair, seated at his desk, looked up and smiled. “Heya, Chief. How’s things? You stabbed Flynn yet?” he asked with a chuckle after the door had slid closed behind her.

Sinclair, CNS

Sha smiled, though her features made it seem anything but warm. At least she was trying. “Hey, Doc… No, actually he’s doing ok for now. But bumpy now n then. But the section is being great at helping without lecturing or scolding. I’ll send you a copy of his next eval.” It didn’t occur to get he could probably get it on his own at any time.

“How are you?” She settled into the chair across from him. “You stabbed anyone yet? Got a body I need to cover up?”

Sinclair laughed. “As if I’m gonna tell the lead cop on the ship that I committed a homicide!” and he laughed again. “But no, no stabbings recently. Besides… the carpet is new and I don’t wanna get it dirty.” he added with a grin.

Restlessness made her stand up again and pace. Realizing her fidgeting, she paused at the window. “I think you have a better view than my office.” She laughed but it was strained.

She turned back to him, her hands clapped behind her back almost at parade rest. “I believe you have a recreational holo program we have yet to enjoy, don’t you? I apologise for not asking sooner. Things have been crazy with quarterly evals and shift changes. NE Marsh is expecting his first kid and had become nearly useless as a shift leader. So I’ve sent him to the armory and sent Parker to replace him. It shuffled a couple mentorships around, but they need to learn from more than one person, yes? ” It was a rambled off excuse. ” But I think we should be settled enough to enjoy at least one shift in relative peace. If you still desire, of course. If you’re busy, I understand.”
