Leaning on one hand on the console, Dalton drowned. “Class Four Pulsar and a dichromatic nebula, which means gravimetric distortions. Fun,” she said dryly. “Navigating that could be tricky. They’re intense and highly variable.”

She the responded to the comm, knowing that Graham was up on the bridge and able to read the same data they were down there. =/\=Science Labs, Dalton here. Just trying to keep the peace and looking into that pulsar and nebula. Dichromatic nebulas are known to have intense gravimetric distortions, as I’m sure you’re well aware. Also, I’m currently mobile, just so know, so if you need me intervening in the computer, you’ll have to ask nicely and give me time to make it happen.=/\=

“Do you think Izzy will be able to do it? Navigate the field,” Kalani asked.

Dalton shrugged. “I don’t know her well enough to know. There are ways to improve navigational response, but I’d have to jump into the system and I’m not sure I’m keen on it for that purpose just now.”

OOC: Bump…I have been waiting for the science team to do more intense scans on the pulsar and dichromic nebula…also there is a probe to find:)

“If we are going to fly through it maybe we should give Izzy a decent road map,” Kalani said running a series of deep scans on the gravimetric distortion

“I’ll see if we can find the probe,” Cori said, even though those in the lab knew nothing about any probe. She scanned for the metals that would match the probe casing.

Scans came in showing the probe at the edge of the nebula, the unknown radiation was concentrated around the probe and indicated it was not native of the nebula. More in-depth scans showed that the probe was made up of rodinium alloy, one of the hardest materials known to Starfleet with the symbol Ro, atomic weight 323, atomic number 125, and was first discovered on planet Vega IX.

Seeing the information come across the screen Kalani began to report it. “The probe is made up of Rodinium,” she said to Cori. “That’s a common material in Cardassian starship construction correct,” she asked the woman trying to also interpret the information. “The scans are also showing that Rodinuim is not in any noticeable concentrations in the nebula. At least not in a concentration that could bleed into the results we are getting from the probe.”
