Main Sim: Shuttle Bay, Deck 10

Within the large open space of the shuttle bay where the lights had been dimmed while it was not in use sat the squat looking probe. It was squat in shape being wider at the bottom then the top and stood about two feet in height and 16 inches in diameter. Not too dissimilar than the Starfleet design though definitely more rugged and less fancy. The lights were now on full and bright as a few shuttle bay techs stood about 20 feet away from the piece of equipment. Obviously the word had gotten around that the radiation they had all been suffering from had come from this object so they were not getting too close without orders.
