Your lizard escaped into the transporter room, and while preparing the transporter room for a possible away team to New York, I tumbled backwards into the transporter console and accidentally activated it while it was still under maintenance. Unfortunately, the strange set of circumstances caused the transporter to target Central Park. It has taken us an hour to figure out what happened. =/\=

If Gordon looked carefully at the image of the lizard, in the background, he would notice a man that seemed out of place, holding a device that was definitely not of this time period.

Once he is clear of the dampening field we can beam him back, can we send those animal control officers on a wild goose chase? Maybe with a few fake phone calls? Lieutenant Gavain the Away Team may need you, but we need to find a way to, well, hide your features. Maybe we can make it look like you are in costume?”

It’s AI has been programmed to keep us guessing, to say the least. We’ve haven’t been able to get any straight answers. But, sir, the AI, that calls itself Bradley, was willing to let Lt. Dalton enter his system. She was willing to go in. With some reservations about it, I made the call and gave her the okay. That was approximately 10 minutes ago. We haven’t heard anything from her yet.=^=

If we don’t succeed it probably won’t matter what happens, we will all be gone like our timeline =/\= Again a slight pause as if the Captain was considering options, he was trying not to sound cold when stating the possible consequences of failure, but everybody knew the potential for disaster when putting on a Starfleet uniform each morning.

However we have detected what appear to be people that shouldn’t be where they are, and some kind of dampening field is in place to prevent us simply beaming them out, sound familiar? I think we might be close to our targets Commander, we could use you back on the Bridge, and how are you placed medically for another trip to Earth? =/\=

He turned to his console. “I’ll get working on those coordinates as soon as possible,” he started getting at it, and found a small forest that might work. “Why are we sending a shuttle to the surface, sir? Would it not be prudent to avoid being detected by sending the whole away team by transporter?” he inquired.
