Moving away from the mare, Corinne crouched down and dragged the tips of her fingers through the water. “Whatever limits exist with the holodeck. I mean, really, when you phrase it like that, I really don’t have limitations on the programming. But it’s still just a holographic program that can only exist here. I can’t, say, bring things with me, even with the mobile emitter, unless they are actually replicated. ” She shrugged.

“Well, at least you can file them under your own file name, so your things are your things.” Dante turned and looked back up at the hill from where they had come from, it was likely about time he departed back to the Bridge to carry on with his other duties. A thought struck him before he did, however.

“You have a mobile emitter, right? What if we were to assign you quarters of your own in the ship. Your personal items then would be just that, like everybody else’s real and not holograms.” He thought for a moment more, “It may go some way towards the crew seeing you as another member of the crew, and not just a mysterious, all powerful AI inhabiting our computer system that can see everything everybody is doing and can read their logs and such at will.” Dante smiled, “just a thought, it might make you feel like one of the crew again as well.”

Cori gave him a lopsided smirk. “A step ahead of you there, Captain. Commander Sinclair suggested the same thing during our first meetings and I actually do have quarters.” Her expression shifted. “But I have to admit that it’s still weird. I can only stay there so long and it’s dependant on the battery life of my mobile emitter, so it’s not quite the same as living there. More like a nice place to visit. Sure, it’s mine, but it kind of feels like a history museum or something.” She shrugged. “I’m still trying to figure it out.”
