“Pointe shoes, to be correct. Two different things, not that most people would know the difference,” she said with a grin.
Cori sighed slightly. “The problem is, where do we even start? I mean, I am the computer for all intents and purposes. I can tell you where every piece of cargo is and where my stuff was put into storage and forgotten about. What I can’t tell you is why one crate is and whether it’s even on the ship.” It could be gone entirely, she knew that, but she was trying to hold onto some sort of hope.”

“Well, best place to start is where you think they were last. So… lead on.” and he extended his armntowatds the door.

Cori spun on the ball of her right foot and stepped out into the corridor. “I think the best place to start is probably Deck Nine. That’s where my stuff was when I pulled it from storage, but it was moved twice while I was… away, so if it’s not there, there’s also Bay B on Deck Eight and Bay C on Deck Fourteen.” It meant they were going to get their exercise. Or at least Sinclair was.
“I’ll have you know I’m pondering decor in my new quarters. It’s admittedly a bit weird given I don’t need to sleep and have no need for wash facilities or anything. Not even a replicator. Makes the idea of quarters a bit hard to wrap my mind around. I’m not sure what I want them to be just yet.”

Sinclair smiled slightly. “Might want to make use of those things, even if you dont need them. Habits and routines you had before your transformation will help ground you. So what if it’s not necessary?” he said as they walked. “And you might want to get all your belongings together, then decide how to decorate. Make sure all of what you have is still meaningful to you. As we change and grow, what matters sometimes changes as well.”

“There is that,” she remarked as they moved along the deck. Cori then broke into a smirk. “Still strangely funny to imagine sleeping again. I mean, it’s sort of possible, but it’s not like there is some sort of subroutine I can enact to shut off my mind so I can rest in something of a familiar way.”

‘Air-gapped server with a built in holosuite of whatever bedroom you want? Something like that, maybe?” he asked as they walked on towards their destination. “That would give you some privacy and let you rest uninterrupted.”
