Taking a break from the armoury Ella had decided to flex her leg muscles and take a wander around the Battle bridge. She had started exploring most parts of the ships between duty shifts and whenever she wasn’t either sleeping or eating in the mess, even then sometimes she’d eat on the move. Being new on the ship as big as the Saracen had its perks as not many people knew everyone so she managed to seamlessly glide through the corridors giving courteous nods and ‘‘hello’s as she passed other crewman, only those in gold tunics would question her which she didn’t mind too much. So far she had avoided annoying anyone and seemed to be fitting in just fine among the crew.

Taking in her actual surroundings the Battle bridge was a much simpler and stripped back version of the main bridge with only one singular command chair surrounded by consoles each with their own engraved sign, CONN, OPs, and Tactical with several others left unnamed likely for back up functions. Alone for the moment, Ella had moved across the bridge to the tactical station tracing the console with her hand. Maybe one day this would be where she was standing in combat.

Suddenly, on one of the screens, a face appeared. A pale teardrop face was framed by long raven hair than hung straight, and piercing blue eyes glowed. The woman appeared wearing, perhaps unexpectedly, some sort of grecian style clothing, though the screen only displayed her to her shoulders. “You know, loitering about a secure portion of the bridge is generally ill-advised, even for security,” she said in a crisp voice that was tinged with amusement.

Ella took a step back, the sudden appearance of the ships AI was not something she expected and had yet to face personally. She had been made well aware of the ship’s unique sentient AI system and the reason why the Saracen had one. “Its also ill-advised for people to jump out on someone especially security,” She said matching the AIs amused tone. “I’ve been exploring and I like to get to know my surroundings.” Moving back to the console Ella faced the woman she was for some reason wearing something she might have worn back on Elas during a formal dinner, her hair was black like her own but the eyes a deep vivid blue. If Ella was not used to being intimidated by larger boisterous men she’d find this image intimidating.

The corners of her mouth curled upwards into something of a smirk. “And here I thought security folk were supposed to be… hardier than that.” Oh, she knew those were potentially fighting words but the holographic woman couldn’t quite help herself. So much of what people knew of her was from what gossip said or their brief interactions. Well, here was such an interaction, and one could say that Corinne Dalton was feeling mildly inspired to remember the freeness she once held within her. Maybe this time it would be real and not just a facade.

“Anything in particular you’re curious about?” Cori said, her tone casual and more ‘herself’ than when she was ‘SARAH’. A complicated difference if ever there was one, but it could hardly be helped.
