“Im sure we could find a way to test my hardiness” she retorted a playful smile pulling at her lips. River had to think about the proposal, it wasnt often you’d have the opportunity to speak to a sentient AI and while she was a warrior at heart there was time she liked the idea of becoming a scientist. “What should I call you? AI or computer doesnt seem fair. ” She said starting off with the easy questions first though her mind was racing and itching to ask away.
~Ens. Ella Lokaa.

The woman on the screen snorted. “That would imply I’m artificial, not real. But I assure you I’m very, very real. I might not have a flesh and blood body like you, but I once did.” She smiled softly.

“I am Corinne Dalton. Lieutenant Dalton, actually. I still retain my commission and rank, but obviously circumstances are, well, rather unusual. But given that I am also the computer, in a strange sort of way, I am also known as SARAH. To keep things simple, when a request or task is related specifically to the computer, you may ask SARAH to do so, though the computer does handle things directly.”

Ella wondered what had happened to Corinne for Starfleet to resort to such an extreme method of preservation. “This is all very confusing,” She said in response to her current line of explanation, though exposed to Starfleet and the idea of such things since childhood this was an entirely new concept to perceive. The idea of moving a conscious body into a ship’s computer… It would have been an enormous effort and dangerous which made her wonder if it had been voluntarily.

“Yes, it is,” Cori agreed with a smirk.

She paused and seemed to ponder for a moment. “Think of me like a cruise director. I know everything going on on the ship and can direct things were needed, but this ship doesn’t require my intervention all the time. I’m an interface for the computer, but most often I choose to be about the ship in my Human form, doing normalish things, if that makes sense.”

She listened intently to the woman as she further explained and found it utterly amazing. Intrigued by the concept but not completely happy with the answer she pressed on her questioning like an inquisitive young Elasian. “What do you prefer to be called? Remembering two names for one person seems a lot of work, would you respond to both?” Ella continued to watch the computer screen, not standing to close as if to give Corrine her own personal space, which she found amusing because technically the young Elasian was inside her anyway.

OOC: I hope I’m doing this right, wasn’t sure exactly how this worked in terms of tagging between paragraphs. Fingers crossed

OOC: Prefect! :)
IC:
“I’ll respond to either, but I am Corinne, though my friends call me Cori. And what about you, Ensign Ella Lokaa of Atholla. What brings you to the battle bridge today?”
