Morning brief done, and Sinclsir sat in the mostly empty Security Chief’s office. Taking a deep breath, he tapped the comms and said =/\=Security to the Captain. Sir, I need a minute of your time, please. I can meet you in your office. =/\=Sinclair, CoS
=/\= I’m free now, Royal. I’ll have the coffee ready. =/\= Releasing the button on the comm, Dante finished his cup and stood, fetching another as he awaited the arrival of the CoS. The door was unlocked there was no point locking it when he expected company.
Captain Knight, CO
A few moments later and the big Scot came through the door. “Captain. Thanks for seeing me.” and he made sure the door closed behind him before coming in and taking a seat.
“Any time Royal, what can I do for you?” Dante took his own seat, passing his hand over his console and locking the door to avoid unwanted guests during the meeting.
“Sir, I have a bit of a… well… personal… thing to speak with you about.”

Dante paused for a moment and blinked, then nodded but spoke warily. “Lieutenant Commander, I am at your disposal. However if you, have a rash or something you want me to look at, I’m probably not really qualified to make an educated assessment.” His voice and eyes were absolutely straight and steady, although a slight twitch at the edges of his mouth would signal an barely contained amount of mirth.

Sinclair smiled and said “You sure? I mean… its really bad.” and he stood up and put his hands on the waist of his pants. “Just a quick look?” and he laughed and took his seat.
“No… nothing like that, Captain. Although, that would add a layer of difficulty to this I had not thought of.” and he chuckled. “No, I wanted to tell you that I am becoming involved… personally… with a subordinate. We are both aware of the complications that may provide, but I think we are mature enough to not let it interfere with our duties. And before you ask, it is Lieutenant Rah-Triton. We had the beginnings of something before she left, but now… well… here we are. I just wanted you to be aware.”

“Thank you for letting me know,” Dante smiled, it wasn’t like he was unfamiliar with having a relationship with someone under his Command, heck he was married to someone in that position. “You are right, you are both mature enough to not let it interfere with your duties, even if she does get grumpy at you for not assigning her to every single dangerous mission we undertake no matter what her condition is.” This time he was unable to hide the smirk.

Sinclair chuckled in agreement. “Yes… and about that. I plan on working with her to help her deal with some… let’s call them ‘residual emotions’… from whatever the hell they sent her to do. She is clear for duty by my psych opinion, but she isnt quite at a hundred percent.” He felt a little bad talking about her, but facts were facts. He then grinned and said “Dont tell her I said that. She’ll kick my aft section.”
