With a practiced eye Hannah scanned the cavern, but it looked stable enough, at the moment. She was curious what was with the hole. And what was down there. She flipped open her tricorder scanning the air quality. This deep into a planet’s crust could release pockets of dangerous gasses. “Ryn, how often are the environmental conditions scanned? Or is there someone who can tell me? We can’t help much if there are gasses down here dangerous for us to breathe.” She followed him to get registered and authorized. She wanted to get a look at the wounded and see if she could determine what kind of weapons were being used against these people. Then she could pass the information to Colter, Sinclair, and Sha.

“Oh, we have constant monitoring in the Control Room. We all live down here, so its definitely a priority. Safety first, after all.” Ryn said.

Hannah nodded, checked the readings on her tricorder and then flipped it closed and slid it into a side pocket of her pack. She approached the desk that Ryn had led them towards and assuming her calmest and most reassuring doctor voice she introduced her self to the man. She was the least threatening of the four of them. She spoke clearly and made sure to enunciate so her accent didn’t cause any misunderstandings. “I’m Dr. Asimina. I understand you medical help?” She left her hands empty and palms flat on the table. There was a good bet they would want to search her bag, and for her it was all standard search and rescue equipment and emergency medical supplies. She wouldn’t offer it until they asked for it. Friendly but not stupid.

The idea that someone other than their current hosts had called them put a slightly ridge in Sha’s forehead as she stifled a frown. While they were waiting their escorts, Sha moved closer to Sinclair. “If the miners were the ones to call us, shouldn’t we see if they are the ones who needed our help as well?” Sure, they were here. And sure, there was an infirmary in need. But if they were called by the miners and didn’t answer, how would that affect relations and diplomacy in the near future?

Sinclair shrugged and said “Not our call, Lieutenant. Our job right now is team security and identification of potential hostiles. That’s it.” There was an edge ot Royal’s voice… he didn’t like the situation, but his face remained passive.

=^=Status report Team?=^= Came the disembodied voice of the CSO. It had been a while and without significant changes on the sensor screen a verbal report would tell him much more than the little on his scanners.

Sinclair stepped away form the group slightly and said =/\= Sinclair to Saracen. On site, but this is not who sent the distress calls. There are apparently multiple corporate factions here, and communication does not seem to be a priority. This site, however, has reported multiple attacks and injuries. Investigating now. =/\=

=^=Acknowledged, we are here if you need anything. Saracen out.=^=

Sha heard all she needed to in Sinclair’s voice. He wasn’t happy, either. They would do their part, as always. But she wondered how coming down here to help ‘the others’ was going to go over with the miners once they got to them. If they got to them. She absently wondered if these folks had anything to do with the transmission becoming messed up enough to divert the shuttle here instead of where it was requested.

She glanced around as Sinclair made his report. The fact they were being given individual escorts also made her a bit uneasy. She stepped up on Sinclair’s right as he finished reporting in. “Who do you want me to stay with. I don’t think us being completely split up is a good idea.” She put her two credits worth in then added, “Unless there is something specific you wish me to look into.” If her idle curiosity could be put to use here, she would understand him wanting that. But her Klingon side said she shouldn’t leave any of their crew alone down here.

“Stay with the Doctor, Lieutenant. I’ll try to keep the rest of the wayward children together.”

Sha nodded and gave a small, quick smile. “Yes, Sir. And you be safe.” She grinned once more. “You’re due to cook next,” she teased before moving off to accompany the Doc.

The personnel at the desk had finished ‘checking’ her over and had another doctor come out of the facility to verify the medications and equipment she’d brought with her. She attached an old fashioned ID badge to her shirt, and turned to follow the doctor towards the infirmary. She paused to wait for Sha to get checked in to go with her, having heard Sinclair’s order.

DaVinci had taken in every bit of information, but was surprised to hear these folks hadn’t requested the help. “Ryn, we are willing to offer assistance in any way we can, We’re the Federation, that’s what we do. But, I would like to speak with the head of the colony and let them know we’re here to offer assistance to them as well, as they are the ones that sent out the distress signal. Do you know if They’ve been under attack, or is the Dominion attacking your facility only?”

Colter (CIO)

Ryn shook his head. “I do not. As I said, we are two seperate companies… and that means we don’t share much. But…” and he paused as if he had just thought of something. “… one of our physicists went to school with one of theirs. I think they talk sometimes. Perhaps he could reach out?” Ryn suggested.

Sinclair, CoS

“Let’s find him, Mr. Ryn. I don’t want the colonists to think that we’re ignoring them if they need help as well. Cmdr. Sinclair, care to join me? Or would you rather stay here and assist Dr. Asimina?”

Hannah stopped and turned around, listening. She asked the doctor who had come to escort her, “This is a medical research facility I understand, but still a medical facility. Do they not come here for medical assistance when needed? Or do they have their own infirmary?” Different businesses yes, but medical assistance…Hannah gave herself a mental shake, not everyone was so altruistic with giving medical aid to those in need.

Sha moved up behind Hannah and remained silent at the two medical personnel spoke. It was easier to observe and listen when not involved in the conversation. She didn’t like the idea of helping these folks when the call came from someone else. But she knew the Doc was gonna help, regardless. Sha just hadn’t made up her mind, yet, if she admired her for that trait or not, yet.

DaVinci looked at Sha and gave her a nod and then turned his gaze to Hannah and gave her a quick wink. “Keep your eyes open, he said as he followed Ryn out of the arrea. . . .

Colter (XO)

Hannah rolled her eyes with a grin, “I’m good Cmdr but even I have to actually see the patient in order to help them.” She had no intention of being careless. She nodded at Sha, they were in this together it would seem. She turned back to the doctor and began walking. “What can you tell me about the injuries your people have sustained?” Once she was able to get that information and actually examine the injuries she’d be able to tell if this was the Dominion or just someone else using the name. Or at least if the weapons fit anyway.

Despite moving like a large silent predator behind the others, looking more bored than excited, Sha was actually taking mental notes on everything she saw. She marked the rooms they passed in case they came up in need or conversation. Better to have references than be completely lost. She also made a note of a map of their path. She would be able to get them back to the elevator at any point, without getting lost. And she wanted to mentally make sure they weren’t being led in circles.

((So I know we are supposed to check the posts to see if threads split and/or got renamed but I can’t find where the Doc and Sha went? Help please?))
