Ready Room - Present Yourself Asimina

Dante stood at the window in the Captain’s office, watching the stars once again. At Warp, you couldn’t tell which was which, just streaks of light passing by left in the wake of the Saracens journey.

But, bringing himself freely his thoughts he tapped his comm badge, he had work to do.

=/\= Doctor Asimina, this is the Captain. Please present yourself to my Ready Room when you get a moment. =/\=

Captain Knight, CO

Hannah was in Sickbay, of course, when the summons came. Sickbay was packed, there had been a malfunction with an airlock. She looked around and then tapped her combadge. She spoke carefully to make sure she would be clearly understood. =^=Asimina here Captain. Are you in need of a doctor?=^= She assumed he’d just ask Dr Knight, but maybe he didn’t like mixing work and family. She continued treating a broken rib while Claire was giving hypos for oxygen deprivation.

OOC: Apologies for the wait, RL bites

OOC: No worries

IC: =/\= No Lieutenant, I’m quite healthy and fine thank you. I understand from the CMO’s report that the medical team are currently busy with injured crew at this point so continue what you are doing. When you finish up I would like you to present yourself to the Ready Room. Carry on Doctor. =/\=

Turning off the comm, Dante returned to his desk and continued with paperwork. He had plenty to do, he could wait.

Captain Knight, CO

=^=Yes Cpt.=^= Hannah moved on to the next patient, and the next. Nothing too horrible, they had all been lucky. A depressurized airlock was a nightmare, for them and for the medical team. Claire was super curious why the captain wanted to see one of the junior doctors, but she didn’t bother asking Hannah because Hannah wasn’t going to talk about it while they were working. Settling the last patient onto a biobed and activating the monitors Hannah made notes in his file and then handed the PaDD to Claire to input into the system. “Alright, I better go before I get into trouble.” Hannah had no idea why the captain would want to see her. Maybe it had to do with what Daniel was going to talk to him about? Or maybe that little mishap in the biomechanical lab when she short circuited and fused a joint on a prosthetic model she’d been working on? Surely not, it hadn’t even set the alarms off. She’d been on board awhile and had never met the man. Maybe he was curious. She contemplated the possibilities on the turbolift, but she was no telepath and the only thing to do was to go find out. The doors to the bridge swished open and she stepped off taking a look around, getting her bearings. So many people were always in awe of the bridge of a ship, Hannah, well she’d rather go see the medical facilities. She spotted the ready room door, walked over, and pressed the chime.

The door slid open instantly, without any seeming word from the Captain to enter. Through that door Dante was sitting at his desk looking at the door, clearly he had opened it. “Come in Doctor, take a seat please.” His head motioned to the seats in front of him and he smiled slightly before his eyes moved back to a PaDD.

“How goes the injured in sickbay? How bad did it hit?”

Captain Knight, CO

Hannah walked in, it wasn’t the first time she’d been in a captain’s ready room and took in the personality of the room. This was actually first time she’d spoken with the captain, and she was curious. She took the offered seat, not relaxed but the word would more be professional in her posture. “They will all be fine. No permanent injuries. From what the chief told me they were able to get the outer hatch closed before it opened more than a couple of centimeters. The temperature in the airlock didn’t drop so no hypothermia, and no signs of hypoxia, but those who were in the airlock will be staying in sickbay 24 hours just to make sure. Morback has some Barotrauma, the whites of his eyes and surrounding tissue are very red. He was right next to the hatch when it opened. He is receiving very slow treatments with the dermal regenerator to help and inside a low pressure field until his equilibrium balances out, but he will be fine. And a few bumps, bruises, torn tissues, and one broken rib where they were they were thrown against the bulk heads. They were all treated for minor oxygen deprivation. It could have been a lot worse.”
