Hey all!So first off, I’m really happy to be able to GM the Saracen. I love this ship, and I am excited to help get her moving in a direction worthy of her abilities and history.
That being said…
I know, as a crew member here myself, that things have been a bit slow recently. Hey, things happen and sometimes real life interferes with what we want to be doing. So no blame, no hard feelings to anyone. We just need to switch gears a bit and have some fun! In that vein, I have steered away from a complicated, long, drawn-out sim. What we are going to do to get back in the swing of things is a high-action, straight forward sim with lots of phaser fire, torpedoes, explosions, and death. And then you can have a new ship and characters… OH WAIT! I wasn’t supposed to tell you that part. Shoot. Ok, fine. We’ll keep the phaser fire, torpedoes, explosions, and death; but you can be the ones dishing it out… this time. But this sim is going to be relatively quick just so that everyone can get used to having a GM on the ship again.
Now as your GM, I want you all to have fun and get something out of this for each of you. If you feel that you are not being utilized, hit me up on Discord and let me know. I will get you involved as best as I can. But a lot of my sim is driven by you all… the players. So don’t be shy to jump in. And please… if you are gonna be gone for a bit, let the CO / XO know. Sometimes a sim can stall because one person needs to respond and they end up going to Florida for a week on vacation (why anyone would choose to go to Florida willingly is another conversation). Just keep us aware if you are going to be gone. We won’t write you out of the sim, but we can set it up so that we can move forward a bit while you are gone.
If you have any questions, send me a note. If you are having problems with the sim, send me a note. If it’s your birthday and no one said ‘Happy Birthday!’ and you are sad, send me a note. I have great birthday memes. In short, don’t hesitate to talk to me if you need sim-related help. My goal is for ALL of you to have a great time and get excited. After all… I prefer blowing up ships on a high-note. winks

GMBlow up ships??? I haven’t done that since I blew up the Dresden back in 2001, I am LONG over due! Can I help???? Buhahahaha
And my birthday is later this month, I will be very sad if I don’t get a Great birthday meme from you. Hehe
