After meeting with the very entertaining Klingon Docter it was time to get her Mental health exam done. She once again got lost. ” I need to get a GPS for this ship or sumthing” She muttered as she passed down yet another hallway. She could not want to complete her check-in and go to bed. She was so tired at this point she swore she was seeing her sleep demon.

The dam thing. Was hiding at the edge of her vision. But she know it was there the tell tall purple tarantula with a Surgeon riding on top of it. Finally, she found the counselor’s office. She took a deep breath looked around and came face to face with the huge purple spider. It took all her self-control not to startle. “Breath Nala your just tired,” She said quietly befor hiring the chime for the door and wanting a response.
Ensign Nala

Sheleah figured this might be the last visit for the day and was thinking about dinner personally.

“Open.” she said.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

Ensign Nala’s ears twitched at the sound of the voice on the other side of the door. “Hi I’m Ensign Nala I could make an appointment and come back later if now is not a good time,” She said quietly. Her ears lay backward and her tail curled slightly around her. She did not know why she was unsure about this check-in but she was.
Ensign Nala

Sheleah contemplated suggesting that she come back in the morning but decided to strike while the iron was hot and the patient was here.

“No no, that’s fine. Come on in. Please feel free to grab some dinner if you’re hungry.” Sheleah said going to the replicator herself.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

Nala smiled “ Thank you.” she said finding a spot the sit. She was not hungry just tired. That dam purple spider came back into view. She tensed briefly. She took a deep breath mentally reminding herself she was just tired.” How has your day been” She asked trying to keep her mind off the spider and his terrifying rider?
Ensign Nala

Sheleah turned around with a cup of tea and a sandwich.

“Very long. I’m having a feeling that yours is the same. Why don’t you start by telling me a bit about that? Everything else will work its way into the conversation.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Yeah, that’s one word for it. It was just basic check-ins. It was not too bad. Though the Klingon doctor in sickbay is insane he wanted to shave my fur off.” She said with a slight grin. The entire encounter was pretty funny now that she thought about it. She decided to leave out the part about having not slept in two days. She did not want to hear about how bad her health that was.
Ensign Nala

Sheleah had a feeling that there was a little bit more to this long day. Nala seemed more fatigued than one who had just had an early start and lack of caffeine.

“Shave your fur? Oh that’s terrible! Somebody’s going to have to get onto that particular doctor. How are you finding the Saracen so far? Are you sure you don’t want a cup of coffee?” she asked.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

” yes he said I was too fluffy and running a fever because of it,” she said with a slight giggle. ” honestly now that im away from him the entire thing was kinda funny,” she said shaking her head. As she did she caught sight of that Spider again and was startled.

The question about coffee and the fact that she had jumped at what Sheleah would think is nothing told her she had to tell the full story. ” no thank you im afraid it would be detrimental at this point. I have been awake for two days I think I got focused on sumthing and forgot to sleep. Yes, the doctor caught it. Had wanted to sedate me which I denied. I just wanted to get my check-ins done before I went to bed” she said. She thought for a moment trying to find a way to explain the spider without alarming the other women.

” please don’t freak out im not a safely risk but im to the point of seeing. Well I can only describe it as a sleep demon but it will go away and ill be fine after I get some rest.” She said.
Ensign Nala

Sheleah thought about what she had just been told and moved back to the replicator.

“Then may I suggest some green tea with kava and damiana? It will not sedate you but it may help relax you just a bit. What about this sleep demon of yours? It sounds like an interesting character.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

Nala blinked what had she just gotten herself onto. ” I’ll try some thank you,” She said quietly.

” Yah if a giant hairy purple spider with sergion riding it is interesting we may have very different definitions of that word. He only shows up when I have been dumb and stay awake for way to long. Anyway the reason I was up for as long as I was. Was because I was trying to find out about my biological family, unfuchinityly all I can find are names it’s like they were erased from history” She said surging. She half hoped that the informant in about her having been adopted would get Shelah off the subject of sleep deamons.
Ensign Nala

Sheleah returned with a mug of the tea and sat back down with her own late dinner. She made a note about adoption and sleep demons.

“Well, I hope you listen to your sleep demon after we’re done here and I’ve made a notation to discuss it at our six week review but, for now, I’m interested in what prompted you to join Star Fleet.” she said calmly.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“six-week review I thought these evaluations were only done yearly,” she said a bit alarmed, and confused.

Why had she joined the star fleet? She needed a moment to think that normally her answers were so precise and quick but not this time. ” I like exploring and learning new things star fleet seemed the perfect opportunity.” She said with a smile.
Ensign Nala

On the surface Nala’s answer seemed as good as any but it wasn’t quite what Sheleah was looking for.

“First of all, don’t worry about the six week review. It’s usually just five minutes to find out how well you’re adjusting to life on the Saracen, if there’s anything else you think you need from me but, in your case, I have to admit, I’m interested in that sleep demon of yours. For now though, I’m wondering if there was a specific instance that might have drawn you to Star Fleet more than any other.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

” Well my adoptive father was a star fleet officer, and honestly I was kinda hoping I would be able to solve the mystery surrounding my adoption, it’s like my biological family dropped off the Galaxy ” She said.
Ensign Nala

“That would promote a very strong desire to join Star Fleet I suppose. I might be able to help you with your search at a later time. Perhaps a set of fresh eyes would help. How old were you when you were adopted?” Sheleah asked.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

” Two maby three weeks at the most, my adoptive parents, absolutely Adoored me, but it just feels like sumthing is missing,” She said.
Ensign Nala

Sheleah made another note before looking up and responding.

“And have you had any type of success in narrowing down the location of either of your birth parents?”

Sheleah had a feeling this part of Nala’s life was going to weigh heavily on future professional interaction between them.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

” No iv been able to find their names both nothing else, I also know the name they gave me. ” She said simply. Shaking her head.
Ensign Nala

“That information might help me. If you want to leave it when we’re done here I’ll see what I can do. So, tell me about life with your adoptive parents.” Sheleah said.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

” Sure I can do that. Life with my adoptive parents was great. They have supported everything I wanted to do. They believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Dad was gone more often then not so it was usually my mother and I. There was a forest in our back your ho how I use to scare my mother climbing those trees. Though my mother never said it I think she worried alot. Making friends in a school and community that is mostly human can be hard. Not that it bothered me any I was to busy exploring and learning to really care about such things” She said with a smile.
Ensign Nala

“Did you have any close friendships in the academy? I know that can be an interesting time for most species.” Sheleah said.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

” Not really I was to focused on my studies to worry About socialize,” She said with a slightly embarrassed look on her face. She know a lot of other cadets go out and saw the ain’t but not her.

” I did meat a chef engineer I still talk to her name is Miz’uki. She is a lot of fun. She was giving a lecture to my class I approached her after class wanting to ask her about the Catian home world. Would you believe she is afraid of bug a fly flu by her face and she jumped almost ten feet.” Nala said and burst into giggles.

” In one of her letters she said her engineers like to replicate plastic bugs to prank her with” Nala added.
Ensign Nala
OOC: So sorry I thou I had answered this one.
Christina

Nala’s story elicited a smile form Sheleah and it also offered her a small window intot he other’s personality.

“Yikes. That sounds terrible. That crew either really loves or really doesn’t care for their CE. Did you find out anything interesting about your homeworld?”
