As slayer wentto check in with the counselor he rang the chime to enter and stood there awaiting orders. He did see a lot of different people on here then where he was stationed previously. He doesn’t recognize any of them. So he decides to chill and wait.

Lt. Slayer

It was a non descript mid morning when Sheleah’s chime rang this time. She had been catching up on paperwork and taking a coffee break.

“Come.” she said.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

He walked in and then smiles at the counselor. “Hello counselor. I’m lt. Slayer.” He said.

Lt. Slayer

“Welcome and do sit down Lieutenant. So, have you slayed many techno-gremlins today?” she asked with a smile.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“If I did I would’ve known.” She smiled and chuckled.

Lt. Slayer

Sheleah was glad Slayer took the comment in good humor. It was what an anachronistic family friend used to call anything she didn’t really understand about technology. That turned out to be quite a bit considering the planet she came from was not very immersed in tech untill one got into the bigger cities.

“Well I think that’s a very good thing to tell you the truth. So, tell me a little bit about yourself. I think we always represent ourselves better than these files, at least in my line of work.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Well I could be a little better other then I’m single looking for someone. Uh got a sense of humor. I got anxiety.” He said.

Lt. Slayer

Sheleah smiled but was certain not to laugh. She always felt it was bad manners for someone in her position to laugh at somebody coming into her office for their first meeting within the first 30 to 60 seconds.

“Those are several common issues and I have a feeling they have little bearing on your performance so, do you like the single life?” Sheleah asked.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Sorta kinda counselor. I’m more used to having someone in my life with me and someone who actually was able to be there for me in the tough times.” He said to her.

LT. Slayer

Sheleah sensed Slayer was a bit all over the place and, perhaps, a bit nervous.

“So you are looking for a partner, not just a casual relationship? I find that type of knowledge helps.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Yes counselor a partner not just a casual relationship that’s correct.” He said.

Lt. Slayer

Sheleah would have to get back to this in a bit. She felt it was good for people to understand what they wanted for themselves and each other in a relationship but, from her own experience, she knew things didn’t always work out as intended.

“So, tell me a little bit about your time at the academy.”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Well it was amazing. I loved my classmates all of them. Something that I wanted to do.” He said to he cns.

Lt. Slayer

Sheleah noted that Slayer was a man of few words. That could be very helpful in most cases though not always when it came to her job.

“And how was your last posting?”

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“My last post was interesting. It was something that I wanted to do, but it didn’t work very well. So I decided to change to this post.” He said.

Lt. Slayer

Sheleah leaned forward and smiled slightly.

“What didn’t work about it, from your perspective?” she made a mental note to check into his last posting.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“No one really payed any attention or something.” He said.

Lt. Slayer

Sheleah could understand how people wouldn’t pay much attention to Slayer if he was as buttoned up in the rest of his life as he was in this session. People might have over looked him.

“Are you speaking socially or professionally?” she asked seeking out details.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Socially. If no one ever payed any attention. So I just went along and went with it.” He said.

Lt. Slayer

“I don’t think you’ll find that’s the case here. So, I’m thinking you are fit for duty and I’d like to see you back in six weeks, just for a five minute check in. I do it with every new crew member to see how you’re adjusting but, if you need anything from me before hand, you know where I am.” Sheleah concluded with a smile.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

“Thank you counselor. I’ll make sure about that. I’ll see you in six weeks.” He smiled.
