Sha nodded to Royal, “Yes, Sir…”
She took a deep breath and spoke up. “Captain, if we head out of the bubble, this area of space is ruled by Klingons. I know it’s unconventional, but I could pose as the Captain. It could buy us enough time to get clear of whatever ships are in the vicinity. Though I don’t recommend we go too far. If we came in this way, chances are we’ll have to leave this way.” She wondered if it made any sense to anyone else other than herself. Or if she was ‘wishful thinking’ about ease of exit.Sha
Security“How would you know that?” Dante asked, “We’ve only glimpsed the barest of anything through that rift? That rift also looks too small for the ship to pass through, unless the edges are not solid.” Right after he spoke the computer beeped as the scans Graham were running came in.
There were no life signs in the wreckage, but there was more information than that in the scans. The construction of the ship had been familiar, so familiar in fact that the pieces of wreckage that remained matched the Saracen in construction and shape. The Saracen’s computer was even able to identify the destroyed ship somehow, the identification code appearing on screen as the I.S.S. Saracen.
As for the amount of wreckage, there was far, far less than a destroyed Pendragon Class vessel should have produced. Of the rest, there was no sign. How the ISS Saracen had been destroyed was coming through clearly however. The wreckage had very large amounts of residual Tricobalt energy around it.
Almost like a beautifully choreographed dancer, both of the Klingon ships began to turn towards the rift, their energy spiking as shields sprang into place and at the same time, the Saracen’s computers again ‘blinked’. Scanners indicated the small rift was unstable. It was likely that subspace was ‘thin’ in this region and that the battle that had taken place here, with such large amounts of energy expended had created an inter-universe incident.
Captain Knight, CO
“Imperial Transponder Signal identifies the destroyed vessel as the ISS Saracen.” He stared deep in his scanner. “The ship is of insufficient mass to be a Pendragon class starship by a significant factor. Also tricobalt weapon signatures abound, which implies such weapons were used in her destruction. It is arguable that these two Klingon ships lack the firepower to defeat us.”
“Dimensional rift is becoming more unstable, I’d guess we have less than twenty seconds to make a decisive action.”

Sha frowned and mused out loud. Her voice wasn’t raised much more louder than perhaps Royal would hear. “I wonder if firing a couple more probes and exploding them behind us would open a rift the other direction.” She smiled and shook her head brushing it off as an impossibility.

SecurityDante glanced at Sha and shrugged slightly. “For all we know, it will just open another rift to the Mirror Universe unless we can find out how the rift formed in the first place to shift between the two universes.”
From the console he was at, DaVinci reported. “I’ve got what phasers we have left fired up and torpedoes are armed, skipper. The Klingons are going to be confused if they see the Saracen coming through the whole after just it up. Even with a different class of ship, we should still register as the Saracen on their scans. . . “

OOC: Slight clarification about the ISS Saracen, it may have been a bit muddled from my description. The wreckage matches the USS Saracen with the parts that are there, one of the bits of wreckage would fit perfectly into a part of the USS Saracen, but, there isn’t enough parts to make a whole ISS Saracen (it is Pendragon Class).... some parts are ‘missing’ and the sensors indicate massive energy from the tricobalt explosions.
(I just don’t read as well as i used to)
IC: “I’d prefer not to get into a shooting match with Klingons of the Mirror Universe after we just arrive and have a dodgy computer system, but I’d also prefer to not be here. Helm, take us through the rift if we can, lets hope the sides aren’t solid. Mr Scholz,” Dante nodded at the XO, “Let’s go. If anybody has any ideas, share them now. Shields up, Mr Colter lets see if we can keep control of our weapons shall we.”

Teller began scanning as they cleared the rift. There would have to be an escape course.
