Ahead of Lokaa the Sickbay doors appeared around the curve of the corridor. That was timely as the man she was helping walk chose that moment to collapse from the pain and injuries of the plasma burns to his face and chest from the exploding conduits. At that same moment, the lights and computer systems around her appeared to stabilize. It wasn’t far to the Sickbay, all she needed to do was get the man through the doors and into the care of the ships medical team.

Ella strained under the NE’s weight she didn’t catch his name her only priority was to save his life by getting him to sickbay, blood had transferred from him to ehr face, hands and uniform and at a quick glance it appeared she too was injured between that and the disheveled hair, she could even feel her golden head chain sliding to one side “Doctor!” She shouted several times as she passed the sickbay door threshold.

  • Ensign Ella Lokaa

Inside the sickbay the Saracen’s nurses turned and ran to help Lokaa, while others prepped a Bio bed for the injured man. “Are you hurt?” One of the nurses asked, while another took the other side of the man to help Lokaa support him.

Hannah, brand new uniform and shinny new pips in place, stepped into sickbay and total chaos. And there weren’t even that many people in sickbay at the moment. Her hands moving in strange patterns, out of habit, “What is going on?” she said to the nearest nurse. Where were the other doctors? She ducked down, grabbed the man’s legs, “1, 2, 3” She lifted and along with the two nurses got him on the biobed. She wasn’t even on the roster yet, officially. She looked around getting a layout of the medical bay. “2mls Terakine for the pain. 10 mls AnesthezineI to sedate him and …” Hannah stops and looks at Ella, “Are these plasma burns?” Hannah was 99% sure they were, but she wanted to make sure before she gave the next order. “And stand by with the Hyronalin for radiation exposure.” Hannah looked at one of the nurses, “Start getting that damaged uniform off the wounds and cleaning it.” She finally spied where the tricorders were and grabbed one, flipping it open and removing the probe to begin scanning the injured crewman. She looked at the nurse next to Lokaa, “Help her get cleaned up, if she’s injured I need a triage report, asap!” No one was moving, Hannah looked up, “I’m Lt. j.g. Asimina. The new doctor, yes? We move now and save lives?” Did her voice get grabbled again? Sometimes her ‘accent’ threw people off. But then the nurses were moving and Hannah was glad she didn’t have to repeat herself.
OOC: Oh wise and knowing CO what’s wrong with this man? Other than burns, that I can fix, crazy…I can’t.

Ella herself wasn’t fighting fit, she had a few bumps and bruises from trying to make it to sickbay with the NE. “I’m fine” She said her eyes showing that she was at least a little bit concussed. “I think they’re plasma burns” The young Elasian added propping herself against a biobed, “Is he going to be ok?” Ella was used to violence but they only ever really caused broken ribs and sore egos but seeing someone with plasma burns gave her the chills, it could be said that Ella may be suffering from shock now that her adrenaline was wearing off.

  • Ens. Ella Lokaa

Hannah looked at the nurse, “Start applying the Hyronalin for the radiation from the plasma burns. Give him this,” Hannah filled a hypo with an antibiotic, “to help prevent the infection.” She stepped over to Lokaa, “Alright En. up on the biobed and laydown. You’re going into shock.” Hannah elevated the foot of the biobed and pulled a blanket from the storage compartment and put it over Lokaa. She turned to the nurse, “Check her for a concussion and any other injuries. Keep her warm and calm. Hopefully we’ll stop her from going into full shock.”

Hannah returned the burned crewman. She’d only arrived on board last night. She wasn’t even done with check-ins yet. While she thought to herself her hands kept moving and then she was back to the crewman with her tricorder keeping an eye on his vitals while they treated his burns.

The NE himself was in a bad way, the Plasma burns had created wicked burns along the mans face and chest where he had been facing the conduit that exploded. He too was in shock and wasn’t responding to anyone’s voice now that he had reached sickbay. It had been a wonder that he had made it there in the first place, a testament to Lokaa’s determination.

Lokaa herself was not concussed, and had no major injuries aside from those bumps and bruises. Stimulants would likely help her recover physically from the ordeal in short order. The NE, at this time was touch and go.

Hannah read the scans of the NE and noted he was in shock. She needed to stabilize his blood pressure first. “I need a plasma infusion unit to counteract his blood and fluid loss. I also need 100ml of Inaprovaline to stabilize his blood pressure and slow the bleeding.”

A nurse looked at her, “Doctor if we give him 175 it will help regenerate the tissues.”

Hannah shook her head, “No, high doses can causes cardiopulmonary collapse and his body is already struggling. Let’s not make it worse. We can always give him more later.” Hannah took the hypo and administered the Inaprovaline. She took the plasma infusion unit and with practiced hands set it up and started the IV line (or however those things work) and started the drip slowly. The nurses had finally gotten the damaged uniform off and were applying the Hyronalin for the radiation damage. Hannah grabbed the tissue migrator and started working on the damaged organs and tissues from the burns.
Lt. j.g. Asimina, Doctor

The mans blood pressure began to stabilize, and bleeding did indeed slow but his blood pressure suddenly dipped drastically as his heart rate dropped. His body was heading into a much greater case of shock as it began to shut down from the burns and radiation, and the adrenalin wore off. The burns had possibly damaged his eyes and on the scanners his blood oxygen content was dropping as his damaged lungs struggled to cope.
