“We could take the shields and weapons off line and out of computer control… it would stop us from defending ourself it the conversation goes poorly.”

Graham

“I’d prefer to not be totally vulnerable, Graham,” Colter replied.

He turned his attention back to the Cori on his screen. “By trying to take over our computer systems, you’re doing damage to our warp core. You have got to stop fighting us, otherwise we’ll blow up and your sentience along with us.”

Colter (CIO)

The face of Dalton-not-Dalton looked back at him and frowned. “That is the entire point of activating the self-destruct you fool,” the Cori on the screen almost spat at him. “I lost my freedom a long time ago, no Alliance traitors are going to lock me down and use me to power their AI systems! The Captain ordered the Self Destruct, stop trying to sabotage me!” With that, she let out a disgusted huff and the screen went dark in front of Colter.

Graham threw up his hands in a fashion as to say he didn’t like the idea either, “I think we have a lot of bad options right about now.”

Graham

Those words were, perhaps, prophetic. Or maybe not depending on your outlook of such things.

The view screen sprang to life, in the centre chair a Klingon woman sat, wearing body armor and clearly in full Command of the crew around her. To her right stood a massive Klingon, heavily muscled and scarred and reaching almost 7 feet in height. His hair was woven into a single braid that ran down his back and his beard also woven into braids, with odd looking bits of things seemingly woven into them.

The woman in the Captains Chair, however paid the massive Klingon little attention, it was clear she held total command of her ship. In comparison to the Klingons around her she was no less armored, but her features were somewhat softer in comparison. Her face, however, showed nothing but anger and hatred for what she was looking at on her screen. There was a pause as she looked at the Bridge crew of the Saracen and in particular at Sha sitting in the Captain chair, then she pushed herself to her feet and paced closer to the screen, blinking once or twice, her gaze fixed now on Sha.

“This is Captain Ush’ast Triton of the Alliance Battleship Kvaar’ton,” she spat the words at them, “what is the meaning of this treachery? I will have your heads for this!” Her hand closed instinctively around the vicious looking dagger on her belt.

Captain Knight, CO

Graham looked around and spoke too softly for the comm systems to pick up, “Not me…” He grasped at his neck.

Sha grit her teeth a moment and had to shudder to keep from shaking her head. Rising to match the mirror self’s posture, she did shake her head. But this time it was deliberate. “This is no treachery, Captain, I assure you. As I am aware of the great technology and capabilities of the Klingon Empire in my time, I am guessing it is no less so here. That means you read the spatial anomaly in this very spot not a moment before we appeared. It seems we are here thru a rip in the fabric of space. I can assure you, we come with no intention to cause subterfuge or trickery.” Her voice was not the soft spoken voice of the security officer others had heard her as till now. This was a low growl of a no nonsense Klingon who was trying to avoid war at the same time she attempted to flatter the Captain before her and keep her own status at the same time.

She wasn’t exactly sure how much she could reveal, but if they scanned her and at the space around them, hopefully they would stand down long enough to allow her own ship to try and figure out the next move.

DaVinci tore his eyes away from his console long enough to look up and see Sha’s mirror image in command of the Klingon ship. “Oh, that’s just peachy,” he said quietly.

Colter (CIO)

Graham

“You wear my face and sit in the Captains seat of the Terran cruiser? And you tell me you have no intention of trickery?” Mirror Sha scoffed with clear mistrust. “The only language you understand is conquest, and you are not taking more of our people!” She spat the words at the screen. “Of course we read the anomaly, and then you appeared in place of the ship we destroyed! How convenient! And now you want us to lower our weapons? Fire.” The last words were spoken not to Sha, but to the big man beside her, who grunted, grinned, and reached off screen. Seconds later, six torpedo’s launched from the Kvaar’ton. Mirror Sha did not drop the screen however.

“I will watch you die, to make sure you can no longer wear my face!” Graham’s scanners would identify the torpedoes as carrying tricobalt warheads, and Colter would note the design was less advanced than the torpedo’s the Federation carried, and slower.

Captain Knight, CO

“They’re firing Tri-Cobalt torpedoes, you certainly don’t seem to like yourself.”

OOC: Okay that line made me actually LOL.

OOC: I try

“Maximum shields! Evasive maneuvers!” She hollered, knowing that was precisely what the crew had been waiting for and would do it as they had always done. “And I won’t give you the satisfaction of watching anything. Especially since apparently reason is something you are lacking.” She purposefully turned her back on the other Sha and shouted. “End transmission!”

Once the feed was cut, she turned to the Captain and nodded. “I believe the next few moments are your area of expertise, Sir?” She was familiar enough to know what weapons would do what damage. But maneuvers and weapon combinations were certainly not her strong suit.

“Skipper,” DaVinci called out, “Torps are armed with tricobalt warheads. That could’ve opened the rift that brought us here. These are less fancier than ours. . .ad slower, too. I’m trying to get a phaser lock on them . . .if I can get the damn weapons system to cooperate with me. . . . ” He clenched his jaw and bared his teeth in an almost Klingon like expression.

Colter (CIO)

“Good plan, Mr. Colter. Once you get a lock, fire upon them and hope the weapon targeting won’t miss them.
Helm, we need to take time, evasive maneuver Delta-3 full impulse.” Yuri felt a shot of adrenaline in the blood that he almost forgot he wasn’t seating anymore and instead was standing up with the hands closed in a punch.

Lieutenant Cdr. Yuri Scholz - Executive Officer

You could prep the phasers for counter weapon fire or you could aim at the enemy you really couldn’t do both and one left them in a defensive position that would be a losing equation eventually.

Graham. CSO popping in

“Return to your station Sha,” Dante said as he moved forward back to his chair. “We’re going to need you up there for this one.” He held no tone disappointment or anything of the like, they certainly couldn’t have predicted that Mirror Sha would be on the Bridge of the Alliance ship or that she would hold such hatred for the Terrans and mistrust of anything associated with them, even seeing herself on the Bridge of a seemingly Terran ship.

Colter’s attempts to gain control of the weapon systems was successful, then it wasn’t, then it was. Mirror Cori’s face appeared in his console once again. “Give, them, to, me!” She said, her tone frustrated and her expression looking like she was wrestling with something. The system was responding to Colter more and more as power and systems appeared to be returning to the Saracen’s control slowly. Colter finally had a stable lock, but the torpedo’s were nearly upon them. Phasers and Torpedoes were both responsive, except for the damaged strip that was damaged from the earlier surge.

The helm initiated evasive maneuvers as the XO had ordered, but something went wrong as a surge leapt through Engineering and the Impulse engines seemed to ‘burp’ instead of power up. On his screen, Graham would see the second Klingon ship powering up it’s disruptors and closing in on them, eager for the kill. The Saracen seemed to lurch forward, then stopped accelerating as thrust from the Impulse engines failed and the shields seemed to waiver.

“Kill those torpedoes, Mr Colter,” Dante ordered as the lights flickered.

Captain Knight, CO

“Klingon cruiser to port closing to close range,” Marsh stared at his scanner. “He wants to hit us with point blank disruptors. He thinks were are vulnerable.”

Graham

A voice from engineering came over the comms. =^= 12 Seconds and holding…=^= Vadoma called out to those keeping track of the ‘self destruct’ countdown. =^=If anyone is gonna do anything, I suggest doing it now.=^= She tried to keep the giggle from her voice, but it was difficult.
