As the duty Shift ended Paul whistled as he put away his Padds and his gaze fell on the bottle the captain had given him. Carefully he picked it up and palmed it a few moments thoughtfully.

Some minutes later, his leather medical bag in hand, he was outside the COs quarters. He pressed the chime and waited.

The Door slid open, revealing the only-slightly-larger-than-crew-quarters-Captain’s quarters. The room was dim and probably somewhat chilly for a human’s liking, but not uninviting in it’s way. “Doc, making house calls now?” Th’elin inquired from his desk, where he was busy with pruning a small luminescent plant that looked like a bonzai tree with cherry sized fruits ripening on it’s slender branches.

-Zarath, CO

Paul grinned and entered. ”You could say that, ” he said and put his medical bag onto the nearest surface. He looked the captain over. ”hmm” he said apprasingly. ”You look like you could use a pick me up, ” and turned to rumage in his bag. Pulling two glasses out he filled both with a measure of the bottle of whiskey from his office and turning back held one out to Zarath.

“You keep that up, and I’ll be early to my next physical…” Th’elin nodded his thanks and accepted the glass. “I definitely could use a pick me up.” He motioned for the Doc to follow him to a low table with two chairs. There wasn’t a sofa.

-Sarah, CO

”Ill hold you to that.” Paul said, sat and took an appreciative sip of the drink. He was content to ain’t a moment quietly then said. ”Good bottle that.”
