Yeoman had their tricks of the trade. One of those was a dedicated station in their ‘office’ that allowed the to monitor the bridge. The reason for this was so that reports didn’t miss anything. All happenings on the bridge were recorded anyway, so this station allowed the yeomen to either review or listen live in order to create their reports. “Randy, you get to be captain’s yeoman for the day. Carmichael is sending me with the away team.” She got up handing him the PaDD she’d been compiling the reports on. “Don’t forget Cpt Carmichael’s mid day log. Oh and do us both a favor and bring Tea/Coffee/Water for the whole bridge crew.” Rand donned her jacket, grabbed her tricorder after loading the information from the Sigma 9 data disks and left. Minutes later she was walking through the shuttle bay doors. She knew they would be taking the shuttle because she’d also seen the reports and knew the transporters were not operational yet.

Yeoman Rand

Bolurson strolled in through the shuttle bay doors. He saw the yeoman there, nodded to her and waited for the rest of the landing party to arrive, as he found the data chip he recorded a message for Helga.. He had his phaser and his tricorder ready. He had sent his last message of love and devotion to Helga the night before, not to mention how much he longed to hold her in his arms and care for her and the life she had growing inside her body. He told he he’d be seeing them on his next shore leave on Earth. He didn’t know when it would be happening, just that he would.

He handed the data chip to Rand and said, “Yeoman, you look after sending messages back home, don’t you? My latest message for Helga.”

Rand looked at the security En and sighed to herself. “Actually that would be the comms officer. However why don’t we leave this somewhere safe. We don’t want your message getting lost planet side. Come with me.” She walked over to the shuttle bay control, inserted the disk and sent the message to the comm officer currently on duty. She then sent a copy to Randy requesting that he check the comm logs to make sure it got sent.

NE Baldurdash spoke up from the pilot’s chair. “..Well folks looks like we’ll have a little of a bumpy ride through landing, local storm is moving in so longer we wait the worse it’ll get. All aboard that’s coming aboard and all that! Puke bags are under your seats!” He said with a grin.
