=C= Rand to Sentinel. Lt Fordham would like 7 (ooc: that’s how many on landing party by my last count but if that is wrong please correct the number) of the copper tubed type 3 phaser rifles beamed down to us. Lt Cmdr Alden would like scans of the surface looking for life signs in the mines that are nearby the colony (ooc: it didn’t say exactly where just near by so I’m specifically referring to the new mines that Bor said they had just opened and where the problems are), as well as any chemical analysis that can be done and geological scans as well to give the team and idea of how stable the mines are before we enter them.=C=

Yeoman Rand

Sadly they only had 5 of the type-3 phaser rifles on hand as standard for the Independence class. They after all weren’t a vessel of war but of exploration and peace. Beaming down said 5 rifles would be child’s play and easily accomplished once the orders were relayed to the armory NEs.

Life sign scans of the nearby mines picked up 8 humans outside its perimeter likely on security duty from the colony. Inside the mines down to a depth of 1.5 miles picked up no life signs. Further scans from depth were sketchy due to the composites of the depositing minerals in the mines. Chemical analysis came up clean of any obviously known gases or the like. The oxygen in the mine was fairly stable, and fresh circulated by the internal tunnels and rebreathers for life support in the mines which still fed power from the colony site. Geological scans reported high rich dilithium and lithium deposits as well as quartz, and other lesser minerals in various quantities. All in all a quite rich mine all things considered. How said mine and tunnels swallowed up almost 30 some people by now remained a mystery they would have to delve into further on foot.

NE Barney who was covering at comms spoke up once the results had come in, “..Sir should I relay these findings and our stock of phaser rifles to the landing party?” Hey asked.

GM CockRoach

“Go ahead and relay the findings and rifles, NE Barney,” said an NLt, who was on the bridge at the time, nodding to the NE. Of course the landing party needed the results of their requested scans.

~ An NLt (Lt Cmdr Alden)

NE Barney soon replied. “..Beam down and transfer of information and rifles complete sir..” He said.

Meanwhile on scans the landing party was seen moving to the solar collectors and nearby wind farms for the colony. Other scans continued to show nothing really out of the ordinary on the surface. Perhaps they may want to request an information update from the landing party on what had happened in the mines/colony lately? Perhaps there was something in the data banks they could in turn research once they knew what to look for.

Carmichael had in the time since the landing party been dispatched managed to find some time to have lunch but more importantly finish up the initial hand over takeover report of the ship, so far he had only good thins to say about the new Sentinel. “What’s the situation with the landing party?” He asked coming onto the bridge, he’d timed it so he would return just before a routine check in with the team below.
