Their guide nodded, “..Everything as I’ve said has had issues of some sort or another. Twice now we had sewage processing just stop and shut down since the problems in the mines began. Three times have we had our purification water become contaminated as well requiring a full flush and restart from the local well sources.” He said.

“How recent was that?” Cleolet asked. If they waste management systems had been affected most recently. Then they could be dealing with some form of pulse. that would explain why each system would malfunction for a short time then work again. If it was a constant field then none of the systems would be working right now. If to was they might be able to back track and track the pulse. Giving them an idea as to what would be effected again next.

Ensign Cleolet (Engineer)

Taking a moment to think, their escort then replied. “..About a day and a half ago was the most recent problem event with that system line.” He said.

“I see hmm. Do you have a record of what systems went down and when. Like a system fault log?” Cleolet asked as she wondered if they where some how dealing with a wave effect like ocean waves on a beach. A constant pules that would extend out take out systems and then as it went back did the same. Causing the systems to constantly fail and reboot. If that was then case then it could mean the effect was artificial and they could be dealing with an ancient security system or weapon.

While everyone else was trying to determine what was going on with the equipment, Rand continued recording the conversations and letting her tricorder take readings as well that would be included as attachments to the reports. Of course if anything strange registered the Tricorder would inform her so she could show it to the appropriate person.

Yeoman Rand

“Records are good,” Anderson agreed quietly. He tried to sum up what they knew so far. Some kind of wave was propagating from deep within the mines, causing malfunctions in the colony’s systems. The mines seemed to have uncovered something, signs of previous habitation on the planet, although what exactly it was, he wasn’t entirely sure. He may have missed a few details.

Anderson, Sec Sci

Overall that did seem to be the scope of things so far, perhaps their next step should be to check the mines themselves? Or they could go check the water/waste processing units.

GM CockRoach

“Sir,” George said, turning to the away team lead, “I would suggest we get going. The longer this conversation continues, the longer it will take before we find the answers we need. I think a team should investigate as far as we can safely investigate in the mines, look for evidence of the men who vanished. I’d suggest finding a way to stay in constant contact.”

Anderson, Sec/Sci

Ford nodded, eyes still scanning the darkness around them. “Agreed,” the security chief responded. “Take us to the mines please,” he ordered.

“Anything of note,” he asked Rand, nodding to her tricorder. She would have told him if anything was, of course, but he felt better asking.
