1300, Meeting with the XO

Quinn stretched out as she walked along the corridor, bouncing on her heels each time she stopped. She was looking for the XO and she didn’t know where to find him. She’d met the man earlier - a handsome guy, if ever there was one. Hopefully they’d get along well! Quinn had only been on the ship for a few hours but she was starting to get a good idea for how the vessel was laid out. The Sentinel was a beaut, that was for certain.

After the tour, Roman had returned to work. Always busy, he was usually rushing about the ship doing something. The ship was sure going to be interesting, and his overall first impression of the new Captain was good, even if he’d never live down his mistake of thinking the Admiral was the Captain. He had to mentally face-palm again just thinking about it. And then there was Ensign Dagget, the new Helmsman. She seemed… a little eccentric, in his opinion, vastly different from his own uptight, moneyed British ways. But he could get used to just about anyone assuming they could do their job correctly.

Anyway, what was she up to? Right, finding Roman Alden. Maybe he had an office? She still had ten minutes before the time that had been noted by that Rand woman. She seemed nice, if a bit uptight. Finally, she gave up and went over to the call comm unit. =^=Ens. Dagget to Cmdr Alden, what’s your location? I’m supposed to meet with you but I don’t know where to go!=^=

It was most common for new Ensigns to get lost on a new ship. He reminded himself of that as he answered her request. =c= Alden responding. The office of the Chief of Sciences, Deck 9, take a left after the Sickbay and continue down until you see the biology lab. The office is next door. =c= That’s right, Rand had warned him he’d have a meeting at 1300, wasn’t it? What time was it now? He checked. 1250. That late already?

Though he was quite busy his desk was neat and orderly, every piece of paper had a place to be and in that place it was. Every computer chip neatly stored and labelled. Every report stacked in two piles: done and needs finishing. The only two things out were a stack of approximately ten files, potential choices for science ensigns. He had yet to choose after he and Rand had gone over them. And a report he was presently writing, Rand would likely be by later to see if he’d finished it. Roman was a fan of timeliness, early was on time. On time was late. Late was unacceptable. Though he had lost track of time, he did appreciate Dagget was already on her way. A sign of efficiency, if one was to ask him.
