Ensign ch’Sirhc stood outside the XO’s office for a minute, mentally preparing himself for his first meeting with his superior officer. Kovan wanted to be professional, to show that he was a good officer. It simply took some effort to show that when it was natural inclination to go about with a scowl on his face. He didn’t smile. Kovan hated to smile, and disliked people who smiled too much. A good smile could mask a number of foul things.It took a moment, but eventually he schooled his face to a neutral expression and hit the door chime to announce his presence. The sooner he could get these formalities out of the way and get to work the better.
Ensign ch’Sirhc (Comms)
If that was his attitude, Ensign Kovan and Roman would get along excellently. The door opened, and Roman stood to greet him. Six feet tall and well built with a perfectly clean and ironed uniform and perfectly combed hair, he would seem well put together. “Good morning, Ensign ch’Sirhc,” he said, his voice crisp with a thick, upper class British accent. Then, he gestured for the seat on the other side of his desk as he sat in his own seat. “Do sit.”
