It was a lovely morning. Her first duty shift on helm didn’t start until noon, which meant she had a good long several hours to relax and wake up in her private quarters. Oh, man. That was nice! The station hadn’t been big enough for private quarters for Junior Officers. Quinn stretched out on her bed, eyes closed and mouth curled into a smile. Then a small alarm went off, the computer’s voice waking her from her reverie. =Reminder, you have a meeting with the Captain in… 10.. minutes.=
Quinn spat out a Tellarite expletive and jumped out of her bed, snatching her uniform from the desk and tugging it on. She glanced in the mirror and tried to quickly tame her mop of dark hair before giving up and pulling into a very loose ponytail. Something was better than nothing, she decided as she pulled on her boots while simultaneously running out the door, hopping on one foot for a few moments and nearly tripping herself in the process.
Sparing the details of her harrowing trip to the turbolift, she managed to get to the captain’s ready room with just a minute to spare and hit the chime. She was… mostly put together. Her shirt was only half tucked and one of her pants-legs was bunched up awkwardly… but at least she was on time! While she waited the few seconds for Captain Rogers to respond to the chime, she did her best to tuck in her shirt and pants-leg.
