E’usah nervously stood outside the door to the quarters where she hoped Rand currently was. Raising her hand she slightly extended the claw on her index finger and pressed the chime. “Rand, it’s E’usah, could we please talk ?” She dropped her hand to her side and waited expectantly, her tail doing nervous little swishes from side to side.

E’usah - ISU (I screwed up)

Rand glanced at Randy, looking dejected and whispered anxiously to him. “Chan eil mi airson bruidhinn. Carson a tha i shuas an seo? Chuir Dagget a-steach gun dèan i an turas, ghabh E’usah ris. Bha coltas gu math snog oirre agus cha robh gnothach aice ris. Dè? Tha mi ga fhaighinn, tha iad nan caraidean. Chan eil dad ri bruidhinn.” Knowing E’usah was Catian and had good hearing Rand had whispered in Gaelic for her own privacy. But she got up and washed her face where she’d been crying and took a long drink if the coffee Randy had given her. She knew she had to answer the door. If she let Randy, his big brother mode would turn in and there would be trouble.

The door slid open and Rand looked up at E’usah. “What can I do for you En E’usah?”

OOC: Actually you’d be looking down at her, she’s 6 inches shorter than you. (He, He)

Oops sorry. I read the height wrong. And she wouldn’t get anger at all. Anxiety, nervousness, sadness, anything along those lines. In extreme amounts.

E’usah looked at Rand and from the look on her face and the pheromones she was giving off could tell that she was both angry and had been crying. “Please, just hear me out. Rand I am so sorry, I owe you a big apology,.... I should have let you show me around. When I was at the academy my course of study didn’t leave much time for friends, I was assigned as a tutor to Quinn to help her with the science courses and we became friends.” as she said this she was looking down and her tail was just hanging there dejectedly. “I was so excited to see her again, I let my excitement get away.” (Deep sigh) “I want us to be friends, I never meant to hurt you, please forgive me.” E’usah stood there, hoping against hope that the potential friendship could be mended, sadness washed over her and a tear ran down the blonde fur from the corner of her eye.

E’usah - NAV

Rand just stood there, heart rate increasing as well as her respiration. Flared nostrils and constricted pupils. She turned back around to look at Randy helplessly. It wasn’t E’usah’s fault. Not in anyway....Rand had no idea what to say or do. She didn’t make friends. Not for a lack of wanting to or even pitiful attempts at it. She was just too awkward. Work was easier.

E’usah stood there in the awkward silence for several seconds then just stepped up and hugged Rand. “I think you needed that’ she said softly. “If you don’t want to be friends, that’s fine,.....I just wanted you to know that I was sorry for earlier, and if you ever need someone to talk to or just share a cup of coffee, I’m available.” With that E’usah turned and began walking away, her claws making a slight clicking noise on the decking, after a few steps she turned and saw Rand still standing in the door with a can of Cheese-Wiz grasped in one hand.

Rand was too shocked at someone stepping into her personal space and then hugging her to react other than to stare. With a nudge from Randy, who took her cheeze whiz, and Cmdr Alden’s words still ringing in her ears, she stepped out the door. She wanted to beg Randy to go with her, but she knew he wouldn’t. He’d do just about anything for her, but she had to find a way to function competently and deal with people and crew if she wanted to stay on board. But she could still hope.

E’usha’s lack of a bag told her she had been to her quarters. “Come on, we’ll start with the bridge and your duty station. Then we’ll see the rest of the ship.” She tugged at her sleeves and straightened her uniform, brushing non-existent lint from it.
