Main Sim - Transporter Room 1 - Landing Party 3

It was a little bit later, and the third of the three scheduled landing parties were gathering in transporter room 1, prepared for them was an array of replicated local garb, weapons, and equipment to help them all blend in. Overall it was quite bland clothing, mostly of brown-grey pants, and shirts, or bits of leather jackets and such. Equipment wise they had a choice of medieval styled leather armors, cowls, and other traveling equipment as well as assorted metal weapons from swords, daggers, maces, and more ranged accompaniments of bows, crossbows, and slings with appropriate ammunition. There was also assorted mercantile goods for trade and coinage of the local natives. In this case it was a silver minted coin with the image of a sharp toothed mean looking wolf on one side, and the image of some kind of noble house’s coat of arms with a raven atop a shield crossed by a longsword and iron spike.

Added into this was the more usual modern equipment for the landing party, type-1 phasers easily concealed for everyone in jacket or pants’ pockets, comm units for everyone, scientific and medical tricorder’s for those needing them in medieval style leather pouch carrying cases, etc. Coming up with some kind of cover story for their party would probably be good to have in order, as well as accompanying equipment to match from the stocks present.

As everyone got settled and changed, NE Charles briefed everyone on the local area they were to beam down into it shortly, “..Ok so the last area, we’re sending you all is the hardest to get scans on, weirdly it seems like something is trying to deflect our scans. Still does not seem like it will interfere with comms or transporters so you all should be fine. The village you’re going too is called Barovia Village. It seems pretty run down, barely inhabited in fact. What does live there seems human like with a few passing non-humans in heavy garb. The locals don’t seem to do much more than farm during the day, then rush inside as night approached. If you ask me they almost seemed afraid of the coming night fall, but for wildlife all we picked up were some alien like sheep, cows, some forest life, and a few really big wolf packs being the most dangerous. Two places of note on scans came up, one seems to be an old run down temple complex on the north side of the village, the other is a large tavern and inn within the village center. Could be places to check into for local information gathering to start. We did scans too for anything related to the warp pulse or other alien technology, but nothing came up for certain. The only stand out is the massive castle overlooking the village to the north west up the mountain, scanning there is fragmented and we’re pretty sure if you get within it we’ll have trouble with comms and transporters, only thing that seems obvious to cause such anomalies seems like the weather. Speaking of which its quite foggy there, day or night, with off and on rain storms passing through its near sun rise right now but given said storms you’ll probably not see it much through the cloud cover..” he reported.
