Karl looked at the scans, then the woman, then back at the scanner then finally back at the walking, talking, energy being. He cleared his throat =^=I don’t know if it is my place, but I think anyone with the right training and temperment can become a warrior, regardless of gender.=^=

The regal looking woman seemed pleased by Karl’s answer. Resuming a more relaxed stance, =/\=..Oh are you not such a sweet one! I must be sure to praise your words to you commander later for indulging me! Sadly, my dearest Love’s brother Strahd I do not think would truly allow me to take up such an ‘unseemingly’ profession. In his eyes a woman’s place is in the care of the home and family. Which I do so love the idea of caring for my dear Love’s future children we shall no doubt have, but having a hobby like a warrior would also be welcome. Ah well..=/\= She said with a smile despite her words sounding down over the comms she did still seem quite in love and happy with her future life.

Then out of nowhere Karl’s tricorder beeped again, but before he could fully comprehend its readings another strange ghostly figure/energy anomaly came up seemingly out of nowhere from behind him to his right, it gave a barely perceptible nod to Karl as if he was beneath the newcomers worth. The new man on the scans showed to give off a constant energy worth of 8.8×1010 Joules or the energy output of total energy released by nuclear fission with one gram of uranium-235. The figure was that of a human man, he wore a regal outfit fit for a ruler like a prince or king. Unlike the ghostly woman who’s exact color tones of skin or hair etc could not be made out, the man’s hair was a deep rich black, his skin a rich tanned white, and his features crisp and regal, but he also moved as one with a long military service in war time would, his age was somewhere around the mid-late 40s.

”..Oh my dear Uncle Strahd! I had not expected you to come here before your brother and I were to be married!” The woman said giving a half regal bow.

The man called Strahd moved over to where the EPS tap was, his movements were similar to what one might do in opening up a bottle and pouring a liquid into a glass. As Karl watched the figure’s actions caused a shower of sparks and clear visual damage now to the hull, no doubt blowing out fully systems inside and in the corridors as energy got fed into the ship and in turn fed out into the energy man. Raising an invisible glass to his lips the man seemed to drink deeply from it before setting the glass down and then stepping off the tap. =/\= Ah my dear Tatanya, you must forgive me for intruding upon your preparations. As I have said many times in our past you are far lovely in these lights..=/\= he said.

The mystery woman who seemed to be named Tatanya, bowed her head humbly, =/\=..Oh Uncle,=/\= She said the voice friendly and fond but light from her genuine, but in reception to the man seemed to be taken as an insult by him, =/\=..You are ever too gracious with your compliments on a humble peasant risen to become part of your family! Surely we must find you your own bride to be one of these days, she will be ever so lucky as I have been to be caught by your dear Serghei!=/\= She said.

Strahd seemed to take even more of this as an insult, it was clear to Karl and those on the bridge watching this regal man desired the younger woman but was being denied what he sought in the young woman. =/\= Yes…=/\= He said turning again and taking another long sip from the unseen glass of liquid, again more sparks and blow outs were seen by Karl and no doubt inside the ship. =/\= My brother is quite the lucky man, but do you not think....=/\= Strahd paused setting the ‘glass’ down again and stepping off the EPS tap which now was giving off wisps of electrical smoke and scarring the hull. The man moved closer to Taytanya, =/\= My dear, you should know how much you have struck a chord with me. I would do anything to ensure my brother’s happiness of course, is his family! But…=/\= he paused again pacing before stopping in front of the ghostly woman who looked on and listened innocently, =/\= But surely you could do better? Someone even higher upon our noble station to marry? =/\= He said all but directly implying himself no doubt.

But it seems the innocent minded woman was not catching his meaning, =/\= Oh Uncle! Who ever could you mean could be better than your Brother? The catcher of my heart, the future father of my children to be? I feel only death itself would ever separate us! Nothing else could deny us our happiness or a reason for me to ever consider another..=/\= She said.

At this Strahd seemed to pause if considering the woman’s words, to Karl closer then the woman in angle, he could see definition of something shift in the ghostly man’s gaze, something that chilled him to his very core, =/\= I see my dear Tatyana, well…=/\= Strahd seemed to come to a decision and turned back the chilling look of dark evil on his face gone plastered in its place was a smile and fond look, lifting the woman’s hand to his lips he kissed her right hand softly, =/\= since it is only by death itself that you would ever consider another man’s affections. It would seem my efforts to also see to your happiness by words are fruitless. Enjoy your final preparations for the ceremony I must take my leave to finish something and then see my Brother and your Dear Heart, down to the Temple Of Andral within Castle Ravenloft’s halls..=/\= He stated.

Turning he strode back closer to Karl, again eyeing him in a way that was a man looking down on something he would rather squish or ignore ever existed. The perception Karl felt was the man was both seeing him as he was, and as some unseen man/guard the woman seemed to think he was. After a brief gaze, Strahd left walking down the hull and then vanished out of sight as if making a turn down a corridor off the hull. No sign of him having been present left behind.

When he would look back to where the ghostly woman had been, she too was gone! All Karl was left with was an empty feeling of foreboding that what he had witnessed was like some dark memory play out both in the past and in the present. But more importantly he could not get to work on repairing the now horridly damaged EPS tap and presumably get to work on the internal damages.

OOC: Bump!

Karl blinked as the.. ghosts? left. He wasn’t sure what to think, so he did the only thing that made sense, he went and fixed a broken thing. He took the few steps needed to get the EPS tap and lowered himself to get to work, opening the tap itself to get to the internals. He didn’t make any comments for the bridge, figuring out what all that nonsense was why god invented officers.
