Karl smiled at the woman reaching to take her hand then realized he was holding a Hyperspanner, he quickly dropped it into his toolbox and shook her hand “Chief Karl” He introduced himself simply with a smile. “I suppose I am at that, what’s the situation down here?” He asked, indicating her to walk on as he quickly grabbed his toolbox from the ground.

”..Nothing too serious thankfully. Only major hiccup in our normal operations of late were some power curve deviations to lesser systems in the main colony district here. Mostly seems like a software hiccup, my techs are taking care of it currently. From what I understand though you Fleeters are here to run our yearly Federation colonial membership inspection report. I guess you can follow me and we can get started..” She said gesturing to a street path ahead.

Karl barked a laugh as he followed Bradlen “That is quite above my paygrade, Chief Toof, I’m just a wrench jockey. Although I do look forward to seeing how your systems function. Planetside systems make for an interesting challenge don’t you think?” He asked brightly.

”..So you’re not here to do our colonial system evals? Folks higher up,” She said thumbing over to the fancy old style British palace building, “..are all in a fluff over stuff like this every year. Not that I blame them too much, part of the reason we all setup all the way out here was originally to be free of Starfleet and Federation bureaucracy and rules. If it weren’t for the Orions and such being a bit more then our patrol fleets can handle that we joined back up.” She explained as they walked towards a long road which soon gave way to more simpler industrial power buildings. “..and part of that as you know is you Fleeters coming on by once a year to give us all medical, scientific and engineering evals to ensure were all up to snuff on compliance and safety regulations by your standards.” she said.
